Hey, I was a freshman in Hight School when that album came out, but I didn’t buy it.
The first album I bought was “Deep In A Drum” by Eddie Canto, who nobody remembers, except me perhaps.
I loved the album, and never regretted passing up Duane Eddy, since he was played on radio stations!
I washed windows to earn money for such extras as music albums.

Back in the early-mid 80's I had friends who'd get tired of riding in my car. As most of the time I had Journey in the tape deck. Mainly

Allison Krauss. If one wants to know what an angel sounds like, listen to her.
Speaking of angels, in this case male, I'll have to add George Beverly Shea to the list we're compiling. A powerful voice and still alive at the age of 101. He's best known for his stirring rendition of "How Great Thou Art".

My wife is embarrassing about Journey.
Worse than I am about the Blue Jackets. By far.

Has anyone heard Jimmy Waverly? I could listen to him all the time.

When Jonathan Cain replaced Greg Rollie, they lost all rock credibility.
Rollie and Schon started out with Santana, in fact Rollie was the singer on Evil Ways and Black Magic Woman.

Saw him in '83 I think. At a Marlboro Country Music Show. With Ricky Scaggs, Lee Greenwood, Sawyer Brown and Merle Haggard.
Ronnie DEFINETLY put on a good show.
Didn't know about the wife and children.
