Hello!
The dust is still settling after the large election upheaval last Tues. The post mortems continue.
I think Bob Tyrrell's piece gave me the biggest laugh, tho: he described Dems in denial, unable to leave their leadership offices and posts, and the Rs having to use stun guns and the like to move them.
I'll link it below.
IG. Good luck with the apartment and hope son is better quickly. How much time will have to be spent in DM?
Happy Anniversary!!!!
I have never in my life ran out of gas, that would be scary enough besides on a bridge!!!!!!!
Thumbs up!
Thanks.
Thank you. We have had a nice day. Doing a little of this and that. Greg bbq’d a whole chicken I made noodles and corn. Our college football team (SU) lost.
lysie, I think you’re right about thee MS noonan. She IS SO perfect in every way and SO smart, so with the media crowd and along comes a pretty little “outsider” speaking to and for a lot of us Americans. She can’t stand Mrs Palin in the limelight.

The next morning we traveled to Maine in a snow storm.
Totally random smartness: yesterday I had a clog in the kitchen sink. Hubby was telling me that he could easily remove the clog by unscrewing part of the pipe and reaming it out. I opined that I did not at all want him to do that just then. I had an idea. So I got out my baking soda and dumped a bunch in. Then, I got my vinegar and put it in on top of the baking soda. It fizzed some. But it hadn’t quite removed the clog yet. Hubby was smiling and saying not to panic. He’d get his tools.
I dumped more vinegar in. We waited.
Suddenly, there was a giant sucking noise.
I don’t often win those types of discussions. It felt good. Real good.
How wonderful! Not the snow part, but the anniversary part.
I’m sorry your team lost.
Good lord, LOL!
Ha! Good for you.
It was just one victory in a thousand losses. He got it in his mind this evening to clean the house. But I saw him heading into the bathroom with both comet and clorox. He said, “I’m being very careful. I’ll rinse the clorox twice before I use the comet and in very limited area. And I’ll open the windows.”
I said I’d feel much better if he’d let a bunch of time pass like ... tomorrow.
He said that wasn’t reasonable.
I said, ok but we’ll call 911 first, then put masks over our faces before we drag him out by his heels.
That was about 15 - 20 minutes ago. So far so good.
My grandmother let the two products come together once and caught a whiff of it. It was rough, rough, rough on her lungs. She was hoarse for a week.
Looks lovely. We were married in July, so no danger of that :)
I have heard stories. We all know it is even lethal. But, that is just him. I say what I say and having said it once, I just let him do what he plans. I have no power to sway him in one direction or the other. But maybe in the future he’ll let us tie a rope to one of his ankles to make pulling him out easier.
He’s through with that phase of this project.
He’s on to other things now.
But that brings me to another point which I just have to leave him alone. I’m a morning person. But he is a night person. This is his prime time for projects.
He keeps me awake.
Someone told me that she has learned “God doesn’t put us in marriages to make us happy. He puts us into marriages to make us holy.” That changes the perspective entirely.
Hubby is who he is and I am who I am.
Yes, nice additions, H.O.B., and sucking your thumb, too.
Dammit, Dog....that is scary....Glad you are ok.
