Voted 0648 in a heavily Dem area. Go Patrick Murray!

Noted light turnout of mostly older folks at 0800. Good for the good guys, I think.

Voted at 6:15 in Hayes, in VA-1. Turnout was light. Our guy Rep Rob Wittman will sail to an easy win here.

I voted in Fluvanna County (5th District). Got there when the polls opened and there were about 25 people in line. I knew several of them and know they are conservative. As I was walking into the polls, a Perriello campaigner handed me a sample ballot, and in return, I handed him a teabag that I brought with me and said “Thanks for all the Clark ads, but I’m voting for Robert Hurt”. For anyone not familiar with this race, the Perriello campaign has actually been advertising FOR Clark, the Tea Party candidate in an attempt to split the conservative vote. Clark has no chance at all to even come close to winning this, so those who want to dump Perriello need to vote for Hurt. He might not be perfect, but he certainly is the lesser of the evils.

Just voted for Randy Forbes. Heavy turnout in a heavily democratic precinct. Hopefully, Randy gets heavy turnout in the Republican areas. Stood in line for over 45 minutes.

Voted in the City of Richmond for Cantor. Turnout was extremely light - 10 people at my polling place. In contrast, at the same time in 2008, there were about 500 people in line and it took me 2 hours to vote.

Good signs with low turnout in the City.

Always best to remind our liberal friends that Republicans vote today and Democrats vote on Wednesday.

HEY! What about the 8th? Let’s at least try and knock of Jim Moron. Nearly impossible, but while we are taking back districts why not dream a little too.

At any rate, but the end of the night VA might be home to the next Majority Leader. Woo hoo.

But wouldn’t it be a wonderment if we could get rid of Mora[o]n? last i saw he was only up by 5 or so with 23% undecideds. There’s nothing else on the ballot in that district to draw people out to vote. Hope springs eternal : )

Voted in the first district at King Georgeg County (old high school). Got there at 0615. I cast the 31st paper ballot (IAW the counter on the machine taking paper ballots)but they did have electronic voting available. So I would say a safe estimate of at least 50 votes within the first 15 minutes. JROTC was out there selling Krispy Kreme donuts. All in all, a good day.

I vote in the 8th. Murray ran a great stealth campaign, so I’m hopeful.

Around the district, Murray had a surprisingly high number of yard signs. Also, his grassroots network was very large & highly motivated.

i drive through the peoples republic of falls church a lot and saw a surprising # of retiremoran.com signs, which gives me hope. also, my daughter attends a private school over in the delray area and whereas there were dozens of obama signs per square foot in 2008, i saw NO moran signs in that neighborhood this time around. having that jack@$$ out of office is a tantalizing prospect.

By 6:30 AM, no line to vote in South Lakes, Reston. In 2008 there were hundreds in line. Not a lot of enthusiasm on the part of the Poll officials.
