Election Week has arrived, and with it we hope ~~real hope ~~ the beginning of a return to sanity.

So many races to follow after many days of effort.

I think that with very few exceptions we can be proud of our side and the campaigns waged on principle and ideas, and many small contributions from many different sources. It's been amazing!

Hey, you care, and that is great! I have no doubt we will get there, no doubt whatsoever (and that wasn't always true).

But we need to hang in there. Imagine how Reagan felt in '74, knowing what he knew, seeing before everybody else what needed to happen, but yet frustrated by losing to -- Gerald Ford??? (He who said in a debate with Carter, 'There is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe.')

Every generation or so, someone steps up to do what has to be done. This year, and through the next decade and beyond, we are it. ;-))

Yes, that's right and well expressed.

I was passing out sample R ballots today in a pretty strong R neighborhood polling place, and someone expressed this idea to me: he was willing to give the Rs another chance, but...

He proudly said his son was a prof at Hillsdale. And knowledgeable about history, this voter said the Rs better reform or go the wayof the Whigs.

And that's funny since the Rs replaced the Whigs...

Did you see that McDonnell won the Independent vote???!! AAAAARGH...talk about reforming the Rs...that's disgusting

It was a very nice service at Holy Family Church.

I must tell you what happened.

The people who are interested in Greg's parents house have not contacted him in over two weeks. Greg has tried to call, but there is no answer and the mailbox is full. During prayer at the service, I asked Him to lift the financial burden of keeping two houses off our shoulders.

After the service we went to the reception hall for coffee and pie. Guess who was there? The woman interested in the house. Her grandmother past away a few weeks ago and was there for the service. She said that they are interested,still, but the mortgage companies are not cooperating. She may have to have her father co-sign. That's something she does not want.

At least we had contact.

I have missed the news. What have I missed? How are we doing?
