Good evening!
Election Week has arrived, and with it we hope ~~real hope ~~ the beginning of a return to sanity.
So many races to follow after many days of effort.
I think that with very few exceptions we can be proud of our side and the campaigns waged on principle and ideas, and many small contributions from many different sources. It's been amazing!
 Ditto ..... I couldn't resist. Ha!
IG I hope you’re let your staff work on their GOTV activities and be a good candiate and not drive them crazy.
Best wishes - Surfs up! Ride that wave.
We went in at 7:30 and were #113 and #114 respectively. Looks like this little area is voting - we only have 450 houses here.
Taking the boy to brunch ( if he ever gets moving - do kids have no sence of urgency?) then home to watch returns the rest of the day.
 Good luck Iowa Granny!!
I keep forgetting to say good morning! GOOD MORNING!
I used my passport and 2 people commented!
Hi, JimBro!
Good morning! I don’t think a passport here would cause nary a ripple. I have been tempted when asked for an ID to whip out one of my Indo driver’s licenses.
LOL
Greg and I are back from voting. There is a very high turnout. Poll workers said it is higher than the 2008 election. I pray the people in NYC vote with facts not gift cards given to them by the dems.
Yeah well........”the rent’s too DAMN high!”
LOL! Thanks for the info on the turnout.
I hope he takes some votes from Cuomo.
Yea so up until about 9 am today, I had not planned on voting. NY Politics are such that I know Cuomo is going to win and I am just disgusted at Paladino continually making a donkey’s butt out of himself. I really thought we couldn’t get anyworse than Lazio, but boy was I wrong.
Anyway...I opened my mail from yesterday to discover the MASSIVE increases to my co-pays and for the first time in all my 30+ years in Federal Service to see I have a “Deductible” on a POP......insanity run amok...Did you know you can have a child up to 26 years old who is eligible for health coverage from their employee and you can opt to have them covered under yours????? Is there a limit to when we have “children” be responsible???? So I figure all of my Out Of Pockets have been raised in order to get $$ to fund other people who are too lazy to get a job and pay for their own.
So my vote today is more of a protest vote, rather than a vote that counts. The GOP had better get their butts in gear when they get back in control and reverse this Bravo Sierrra.
I am expecting a coronary when we get our insurance rate hikes in a few months.
 I'm betting on May 2011.
James Clyburn is admitting to a "bloodbath"..
FYI, Kentucky polls close at 1700 CDT.
Just got back from voting (I have a terrible cold and stayed home *cough* *cough* ;-)). I was number 234 of what they said was 1,200 registered in my little precinct in Montgomery County, Pa. Montco is a pretty strong R county, but my little town is blue-collar union D, so this may be either good (the Dems stayed home) or bad (the R’s stayed home). Don’t know how to read it, but it’s 4pm and only 234 showed up so far, and the place only had 2 other people there when I got there...AND — I stood there and clicked off each candidate one by one instead of voting straight R, because I have waited so long to do it...;-))
I was #136 in my district (not sure the size of my district) and #498 ballot cast on the partiular machine.
I think this will be one of record turn outs.
...and the “Rent is Too High” Party was on the ballot...rme.
By increasing the coverage age they are enabling young adults to fluff off responsibilty.
