Full Body Scanners

This is an email sent to me by a friend, but I did not know how to post it without a URL : / I did find a site with a similar idea, I hope it doesn't break any rules to post the email, or the similar site : |

THIS IS REALLY A GOOD IDEA... Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports:

All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will NOT X-ray you, but WILL detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on or in your body. The explosion, of course, will be contained within the sealed booth.

This would be a win-win for everyone. There would be none of this crap about racial profiling and the device would eliminate long and expensive trials. This is so simple that it's brilliant.

I can see it now: you're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system,

If everybody wore these, we would all know who had a bomb on them.

Coat the interior with teflon so it can be cleaned quickly and proceed.

How 'bout if we just don't allow Muslims on planes (or in America) and cut out all the BS?

The fundamental problem with this is binary explosives. Component A will not detonate by itself when Amish Ahmed walks through with a generous portion. Component B will not detonate as Quaker Qasim strolls through with his share of the device. When they get together in the men’s room before boarding the flight . . .

Note: so far the recruits have been shockingly inept, as one would expect from people willing to kill themselves over an absurd quasi-religious cult, but eventually Malik the Mennonite will manage this rather easy process.

It reminds me of another one about our illegal visitors... that we could tell them that they can stay if they serve in Iraq/Afghanistan... somehow I don’t think we would have many takers, and our problem would resolve itself rather quickly

THe Israelis have large bomb-proof luggage containers. Use these. All you have to do is swap it out if it gets ‘used’.

Lol!! That is one of our favorite movies, but that scene never came to me as discussions of airport security solutions progressed, still laughing. Stops laughing. Remembers the scene from another favorite.... Minority Report : o

May God bless.

What a great idea, why not work on this kind of technology instead of all the useless stuff we’re doing now?

I thought so too ; } but the more thoughtful minds here reminded us of the bombs that are compartmentalized, and don’t blow up until all the parts are put together up in the air : /

Ah well, it was good for a grin ; P

May God bless.
