Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

Is it on in Arizona yet?
I didn’t watch this season..but holy cow...Gilles is hot in this Paso Doble

I followed your link to Derek and Lil Kim. They did a great tango.
Is he married?
Really? What planet are you from?
He is dating a the former wife of a soccer star in the UK.
Derek doesn’t have the same vibe of the tango as Gilles. He may be technical..but it does not have the same sexual pimp versus prostitute vibe as the dance by Gilles.
Nope, twenty minutes.
I watched your link to Gilles. WOW...
See the difference. Golden Boy has the technical dance.
No experience Star has the VIBE of the dance
It was INTENSE.

Planet prudeness..and you? : )
I have not seen it this year but I know it used to be so very sexy...yikes!
I thought the same thing about Nicole last season, to me she was pretty close to being professional since she was a Pussy Cat Doll..
What makes you think the old one wasn’t?
Nicole is an excellent dancer. I would have loved to see her dance with Fred Astaire.
Wow, so glad you said it! I’ve been saying for weeks that there is something not to like... don’t know what it is exactly, but I’ve seen it more than once. So I’ll just say it too, I don’t care for Jennifer and would rather see her on Dirty Dancing rerun that Dancing with the Stars.
That was hardly an attack. You really need to grow a thicker hide. And please refrain from lecturing me on FR policies. This ain’t my first rodeo.
I think that was Flashdance that had the body double.
I doubt that was Mark’s idea.
Hi antceecee!
JaneNC was certain that Bristol was going home....lol.
WRONG.
DWTS got put on notice that Bristol is the main draw this season, despite her low scores. Viewers play by DWTS rules that allow multiple votes. It’s a popularity contest as much as it’s a dancing contest until the final shows.
A wonderful night for all the expert dance critics...lol. Lessons learned.
Best wishes for Bristol and I sure hope she’s given an elegant or a pretty costume next week, (even a cute one) and a dance that she can better master and just have a lot of fun with. She’s gained a lot of fans, that’s for sure!
A whole lot of people are rooting and voting for her!
