Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

We’ll find out for sure at the very last minute!
I wonder if anyone else in the history of DWTS ever had to wear a monkey suit...
Audrina is safe so its probably Florence going home tonight..a shame, she is a classy lady
I like the ole Jennifer, this one is snotty.
What do you think, three procedures or more?
I’m suspecting this Jennifer is somewhat of a diva.
A friend of mine explained it this way... it's not American Idol, there is no contract, no expectation of launching a dancing career upon completion. You can't look at Dancing like that, it's a show about who do you want to see keep going, including those you just want to watch because you like him or her, or their dance partner. It's any anything goes competition, most grace, most improved, most likeable, most popular, doesn't matter just as long as the audience keeps tuning in. I'm enjoying the ride personally, I like watching her and I like Mark, so with my friend's wisdom in mind, I have and will continue to vote until I get tired of watching one of our national treasure's children grow up right before our very eyes.
My husband doesn’t like Florence...lol.
Children of the Corn is safe.
Too bad.
I am glad to see Corky and his mug off my screen.
Jennifer is safe...
Florence is gone.
That sucks but at least she had a good time.
Was she sad? mad? or glad?
When did you start calling Derek ‘children of the corn?’
LOL
Florence is happy IMO.
