Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.
Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.
Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.
The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.
As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.
So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.
The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

Bristol didn’t dance yet.
Oh..thanks for the info. By what i was reading on this thread I assumed she had already danced
Loved the Brandy dance, loved Florence’s package with Barry...but not the dance so much.
It was cute the way the cast were in the Brady Bunch squares.
Florence just danced. I think she's good. I, personally, don't know anyone Florence's age who could do that.
Florence and the Brady Bunch theme was a little strange choice for a Tango, but she is a trooper.
I think they are taking a little Dancing “License” tonight, might be running out of ideas.
Greg Brady looks older than Mrs. Brady LOL!
Should be thinking “good dancing” not “good dancing for an old lady.” How many of her dances is she going to dedicate to someone who has departed?
I don't see any flab...
LOL. DrO did NOT like Florence’s dancing and he’s mad about her scores...lol.
What were her scores? (7’s?) He said NO WAY did that old bag deserve 7’s. LOL.
Love the ‘Bewitched’ song.
Well, yes, happy birthday to Bristol. I remember being 20 — SO young!!!
She messed up with the stupid BF and has a baby — now she’s on TV dancing for fun and profit. More power to her — why this girl is even an issue to anyone is a puzzle to me.
Whether she moves ahead to next week or gets sent home, I hope she had a great time on the show.
That was really cute! However, the wardrobe people dropped the ball again...why was Kurt’s jacket so long?
Loved the Bewitched dance.
That was really cute!

Kurt is good!
Sorry have to ask but missed the beginning of the show so wondering... what happened to the raised round stage and scoring on both performance and technical? I thought they launched changes last week, was it just for that one week?
That photograph is either well positioned or airbrushed or both. For a better analysis, check out the photograph in post 27.
