I hate being bitten in the keys.
Bit in the keys? Are a woman’s keys called something else?
the big fish is in the house!
I got bitten in the islands once and it wasn’t funny.
Sarah ‘Barracuda’ Palin will never win the Presidency after this.
Yes, but it's not a polite term. You don't want to get yourself banned from FR for using the term unwisely.
:)
I was bitten in the keyster once.
Last year I caught a tiger muskie in the Adirondacks, while fishing from a canoe with four lb. test fishing line. Took me 20 minutes to bring it to the boat and then it drilled a hole in the net. I didn't keep that fish, it had lots of big teeth and looked similar to the barracuda.
“Keys” is short for “keister”.
I’ve seen anchovies swarming and trying to escape baracudas by jumping out of the water ... followed up and out of the water by baracudas.
Hmmm ... Our Barak is now chasing the rich out of the water, while feeding on them.
Let’s be careful out there ...
there is a moose/sister bite joke here somewhere...
but’ i’ll be damned if I can find it
Is that a bank of clouds in the background of that file photo, or a snow-capped mountain range? It looks like mountains to me, and I didn’t think that ‘cuda were cold water creatures. Guess I might learn my ‘something’ for today ... happens everyday.
That was a ‘65 Plymouth Barracuda, btw.

Now I feel old ... as I can remember when the Baracuda sold new for $1600.
Caught(Hooked) about 3 last week, 2 were jumpers. They have a tendency to shoot out of the water when they run on a tight line. They also do the same when they go after bait fish. We cut them loose when they get close to the boat to prevent us from jumping around in the boat when we bring them in. 4’ with sharp teeth bouncing around can be a problem. I’ve caught them in waist high water off the causeway in Biscayne Bay years ago, with people swimming near by. I have also swam among them, we’re not in their food chain normally, but stay clear of the bait pods. :o)
