AUSTIN, Texas -- U.S. and Mexican authorities say a Mexican state police commander investigating the reported shooting of an American tourist on a border lake plagued by pirates has been killed.
Ruben Rios, spokesman for the Tamaulipas state prosecutor's office, says Commander Rolando Flores, the head of state investigators in the border city of Ciudad Miguel Aleman, was killed.

No doubt Wendy Murphy will assert that the ‘wife’ herself killed the officer.
I thought that is one of the responsibilities of the National Guard?
Another example of those Latino/Mexican "family values"?
Another example of those Latino/Mexican "family values"?
This POTUS must be impeached.
The Onion carried this story last week wherein every Mexican was killed in a massive shoot-out resulting in some 50 million dead. Started with a drug cartel shoot-out and progressed to there. Southern real estate now cheap!
It looks like it is time for some well trained militia/retired military/vigilantes to go down to the Mexican border and set up a sniper cross fire. Anyone caught on U.S. soil having not entered through proper custom checkpoints needs to be stopped permanently if you know what I mean. This invasion must be stopped. The lawless of the this narco-terrorists will not subside of its own volition. It will spread county to county if there is no repercussions to these heinous acts.
The UN? Hell, they will just be protection for the cartels. We need to send it the Marines!
“FRiend, have you ever tried to lift the dead weight of a body out of the water and onto a Jet Ski, while you are in fear of losing your own life?
Ive had to lift dead bodies into boats... its not easy and at the time, I was a very strong man being helped by at least one other guy.
She had no choice but to leave him.”
I will defer to you Gator.
I cannot imagine how devastated this woman is. To see her husband bleeding out, trying desperately to get him up and she can’t do it. Knowing that if she left him he will surely die -and all the while his murderers are trying to kill her, or rape her.
For the rest of her life she is going to be haunted by this.
Geraldo disgusts me.
I gave him a bit of a try when he was in Iraq with the soldiers, but stopped trusting him when he opened his ugly yap about his location.
Now, Fox goes off when he comes on. Why they put up with him, I have no idea.
Beheading is a Muzzie trademark. Wonder how many Al-Qaeda terrorists now work for the Mexican Drug Cartels? This is becoming a regular occurrence should this tell us something?
I would have stayed with my husband, no matter what.
We have been married for so long, and still love each other so much that I would prefer to go with him, if I had the chance.
Well I guess we know who killed the American...AND IT WASN’T HIS WIFE. /S
I suppose some still think the wife is “not being truthful” about the encounter.
I actually heard Geraldo apologize on the weekend. He kind of gave excuses for the hard line he’d taken but at least he said something in apology.
OTOH, I have yet to hear Shep Smith apologize or take back his accusations. I heard him lay into the wife before Geraldo even mentioned the story. It was vicious. He added a bunch of commentary in his newscast saying, “I don’t know.. . her story sounds really fishy... “
Sheesh - with even Fox giving up on innocent before proven guilty (not to mention our current administration trying that ploy of late) I’m getting really angry.
It’s difficult enough to haul your ownself back up on a jet-ski from in the water, let alone someone much heavier. Can’t blame her for making a run for it.
All this for two Americans that just HAD to ski into Mexican waters, ignoring warning buoys and take pictures of a submerged Spanish church.
Unwise actions, serious and broad-reaching consequences.
I heard that she tried to keep him out of the water but he weighed about twice what she does.
