Dancing with the Stars 2010 Week 4 Spoilers and... (Vote for Bristol Palin 8:00 Mon ET)
Associated Content ^ | 10/9/10 | Sherry Wight

Posted on 10/11/2010 4:13:40 PM PDT by Dr. Scarpetta

DWTS Week 4 airs tonight & will feature these celebrities:

Audrina Patridge & Tony Dovolani...Argentine Tango. She set the bar high during week 3 with her 'last dance with Tony' waltz, earning a season-topping 26 points.

Brandy & Maksim Chmerkovskiy...Rumba. No amount of 'I love Maks' tape across the mouth will make me love the singer & actress, whose bizarre & diva-esque behavior has taken the sizzle out of her step.

Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas...Rumba. Whether or not the teen activist can pull off a sultry, sexy Rumba is one of the most anticipated mysteries.

Her more voluptuous figure could lend itself nicely to a sizzlin' sling around the ballroom, but if she can't loosen up, no amount of curvy appeal can save her from the judges' punishing paddles or the glare of the red lights.

Florence Henderson & Corky Ballas, Rumba. Her week 3 Edelweis Waltz was sweet, but the thought of the actress taking on the dance of love is a little scary.

Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough...Argentine Tango. Can they really break through this week & earn a 9 or two? I think so.

Kurt Warner & Anna Trebunskaya...Rumba. One of Kurt's strengths in the ballroom is his natural elegance & grace.

Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer...Rumba. Lacey's going to have to work some serious magic to create a believable routine.

'The Situation' Sorrentino & Karina Smirnoff... Argentine Tango. His natural stiffness has plagued him in the competition, but it may come in handy as long as he can maintain good posture & capture the essence of the dance.

Rick Fox & Cheryl Burke, Argentine Tango. The judges simply love the former Laker. Bruno, Carrie Ann & Len will give him good scores whether or not they're warranted.

This girl never whines.

I am beginning to think that the judges are scoring low because of the Professional dancers not doing enough. They scored Rick lower than they should, and he did a good job, and his partner is the best female dancer on the show.

Mark has had two wins in the past and he is very talented and competitive.

I hope a miracle happens and Bristol comes back next week, but they are trying to make it really the survival of the fittest, and as usual it will get worse.

Thanks very, very much for telling me! Good on her! She’s spot on and I agree. She’s having a good time and they need to let her dance somewhere during the middle of the show. Sheeesh.

Thanks for the link.

WOW!

This is a sizzling dance and Bristol was absolutely charming!

Bristol is shy, it shows, and I think she should use it to her advantage. She depicts innocence, taking the first steps into the mature world. She wants to but is not quite sure but wants to and goes for it!

Soft, sweet, shy. Bristol is perfecting the technique. She's not sharp in her movements where one would expect and I hope she doesn't change. Her movements fit her personality. She flows.

I pictured a professional dancing this dance. The movements would be so polished that it would be plastic/fake - unemotional. Bristol's movements were alive, natural, pure.

Here is a 19 year old, half dressed, dancing a very suggestive dance.... on TV... not only in front of millions but in front of her parents! YIKES! I know I couldn't do it without wearing a paper bag over my head LOL.

I hope Bristol doesn't loose too much weight. It's a pleasure watching a healthy person dance. I think it should be an inspiration to others.

God bless this girl!!!!!!!!!!

This season is the first time I've ever watched this show (and after Bristol goes, so will I) so I'm wondering about something. Why are the contestants so mismatched? I mean, Jennifer is not an amateur. Her big claim to fame is "Dirty Dancing". That should disqualify her. Should there be any doubt that she will win? It does not seem fair to me. Yeah, I'm complaining. I think the whole thing is rigged. I think everyone knows that Bristol is being used to hype ratings.

I'm glad she is getting paid a lot and the dancing may bring her out of her shyness. That is the positive she can take away from all this. Also praying that she does not fall victim to any of those slick-talking experienced city boys.

I’ve not watched the show before either, so I can’t answer your questions. It’s not open for the amateurs to win, that’s for sure. Jennifer Gray and her partner will most assuredly win. Like you, when Bristol is voted off or however it happens that she is disqualified, I’m done with the show. I’m already steamed that she is always made to dance last, for the sole purpose of making us wait to watch her. Dancing last has to make her more nervous, so that strikes me as all the more unfair, but again, the show is going for “ratings.”

I’m also praying right along with you that she doesn’t fall prey to any fast talking big city guys, but I think she has a chaperone who’s also a babysitter.

Nope, we have lots of like-minded FRiends.
I’m signing out now, too. Good night, sweet you.

Bristol is at a serious disadvantage in that she has never been a performer. Took lots of guts to do this and based on her being a normal person who isn’t making a complete fool of herself I voted for her as many times as I could. She does seem to have some natural talent if she could loosen up and let it flow - easy for me to say.

Jennifer Grey is fabulous but then she ought to be - it isn’t exactly a fair contest.

She may think it helps counteract the embarassment she caused her mother when she got pregnant during her mothers campaign. The show is also known to pay 50,000 or more so that isn’t bad either.

“Life’s too important to spend time watching junk like this.”

I guess life is important enough to post on threads like this?

Not really. This whole topic and thread was a waste of time in the whole big picture, don’t you think?
This IS a news site, not a ‘vote for Bristol Palin’ site, if you want to start getting picky.
I just wanted to put in my opinion, as this IS also a forum.
>sigh< There’s just not pleasing some folks!

Agreed, it is a news site. DWTS is just a diversion. The wife and I watch it, but it’s the only show we watch at all. With all the negative news here, it a welcome diversion, at least to me.

Last seasons winner...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAqfl1ZzZaw

they always have people on there that can dance..

I would have preferred this guy to win,..

for you females that haven’t seen Evan dance... he is hot hot hot as the Vampire in a Twilight inspired Paso Doble

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwaFOMFK1Vo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMoQtNtfU6o

Yes, Evan is an Olympic winner figure skaer..but what he had to do when against his training..

It’s about ratings..no one is really going to sit and watch if there is not anyone who can dance and they all dance like Hasselhoff. Donny Osmond really isn’t a dancer and he won..on his popularity.

Here is Donny’s Paso..it’s a hoot

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVTUfmq4uZk

Although, a lot of people complained about Nicole being on the show...here is her Paso

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwxXj29eavY

The Paso is about the man being the bullfighter and the woman being the cape.

Can you believe it? He got another 8. Thats three weeks in a row.
He has no talent. Others do much better than him and don't get an 8.
Something fishy here!

Oh yes, his name is Kyle.

Didn't Derek and Jennifer do wonders? They were fantastic!
Wish I could see a repeat of the dance again.

He is a Disney star. That might explain it.

Poor Bristol got the wrong partner. Mark “Me” Ballas is all about showcasing his dancing..not toning it down to meet his partner’s ability and showcasing her talents.

I read a story about how he was mad he got Bristol until he realized that it would put the spotlight on him because of Sarah Palin. I don’t know if the story is true ..but it is easy to believe.

Bristol needs to watch this video of Evan and Anna. Some of the same moves. Look how they sold it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgymeebplCQ

Bristol acts like she doesn’t even like Mark when they dance.

She needs to get on the computer and watch some of these other clips of stars and learn how to sell the dance. Bruno was right, she does a move, and then kind of goes vacant.
Move to move to move. She doesn’t fill it in or sell it.

The last thing she needs is to make it far in this show based on the voting for her mother.

Get it together and sell it...or get voted off the show. Rising to the Number 2 or 3 position when you didn’t earn it will not go over well.

Look up at the top of the page. You are in the “General Chat” Forum.

If you want political news only, you can format your page so that is all that shows. You can customize which sub-forums you see.

I know that you are new here...(it took me about a year to realize I could customize). You will be much happier after you customize.
