Moments that changed America (Sept 2008)

Posted on 10/01/2010 9:44:25 AM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

I was thinking about it this morning over breakfast. Something hit me.. What happened in September of 2008 was a fatal wound to the heart of capitalism in America as we fix. We need a miracle now folks. I don't think a lot of people knew it at the time. A lot of people still don't understand quite what happened. I am not going to go into conspiracy territory like "info-wars" and some of these other nuts and anti Americans floating around out there.

I loved President Bush. His presidency started when I was in Junior High and ended when I was an adult with a new family. I looked up to him. I believe he loved America. I still think he loves America. His leadership after 9/11 was great. It was one of those moments where I believe we had the right man at the right time to lead our country through such.

But flash foward to September of 2008. When everything was at stake, when the chips were on the table. When Henry Paulson came into his office and asked him in pretty much buy a bunch of banks, the President couldn't say no. Why couldn't he say no ? All he had to say was hell no. When all of the pressure of the free world on his shoulders, with eyes wide open.. he simply sold out. He sold us down the river and I will never forgive him for that, nor should you. That was the day the inmates were handed the keys to the asylum.

Right then and there, the Barack Obama Presidency was off to a racing head start months before he even took office. President Bush unknowingly did some of his early work for him so he never had to "break the glass" to get started with his marxist agenda. Everything after that was simply cruise control. Obama was able to alter the financial regulations of this country. Obama was able to install true bleeding heart socialists in high positions of power. We have slowed him down, but we have not stopped his agenda and it may take generations to fix the damage that has been inflicted. Also please know, his agenda will outlast him. MOVEON.ORG and others with the same agenda OWN the Democratic Party and I believe the same breed of socialist is trying to take over the Republican party from within. Mike Castle ? are you bleeping kidding me ?

The point is. Our leaders sold us out. President Bush, President Obama.

It is going to take more than just a change of leadership.. it is going to take a spiritual revival of the likes that.. im not sure enough Americans are willing to even listen about.. let alone consider..

So with all of that considered.. Where do we do from here ?

There are 300+ million souls in this country. What is our destiny as a nation ?

” Bush made a huge mistake by appointing Paulson as Treasury secretary. In retrospect, Paulson was helping to do Obama’s bidding in the upcoming election race. Paulson was from Goldman Sachs, which contributed more to the Obama campaign than any other corporation in the country! “

Correct. Bush made a number of huge mistakes.

President Bush, George W., did his part in agreement in several areas that were BAD.

spending out of control monies in Iraq,

getting people in homes of their own, not qualified,

not guarding the border,

not wanting to send illegals back to Mexico,

(He signed and agreement Prosperity Partnership which followed NAFTA begun by Bush's Father and also Clinton) with Mexico, and Canada,

Doing away with our borders soon, and operating the truck highway route from the coast of Mexico all the way through America to Kansas City before the trucks were to be inspected,

and then shipped out from Kansan City to the north and to points north and to the coasts.

He agreed to the union of Canada, America, and Mexico, the North American Union, and new money, the AMERO.

Look it up it is all there to check out. And more.

I liked George W.Bush in many ways . The North American Union was definitely Not one of them.

Also, President bush wanted to allow foreign control of our sea ports. United Emirates IIRC.
Bush did many things to send our manufacturing corporations overseas.

He was a mixture of good and bad ... as most are.

Only the bad had/has worse consequences.

God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.

Also a huge failed program was the ‘No Child left Behind’, education bill written by Ted Kennedy, there are others as well.

Bush was ‘veiled as a compassionate conservative’, that was really pretty much a ‘One World Order’ proponent guy.

He did many things to further this desire, direction.

Only in retrospect does it become apparent, how off course Bush 2 was in his actions. Not all, not all.

With Obama nothing is held back, he is full speed ahead with the dismantling of America as Dr. Sowell suggests.

Correct. Bush made a number of huge mistakes.

Bush made a number of huge mistakes and a number of excellent decisions. His costly mistakes, like bailing out banks that should have been allowed to fail, set the stage for an easier transition to socialism under Obama. If we had allowed insolvent banks and companies to fail, the long term damage from the recession would have been much less severe, and Obama/Pelosi could not have pushed through a $1.7T deficit ever. Bush's excellent decisions, for the most part including the conduct of a broad war on terror, gave us the time to get things right on the economy before we hit a crisis on terror (I hope!).

I was here for the events of that month, and remain amazed at how many Freepers were defending TARP. It was “oh, sweet Jesus, save the poor suffering banks!!!” from quite a few who have since had the good sense to shut up.

Politically, I think linking Bush/Obama is a good thing.

I think you are nuts!

Neither were or are popular.

BULL SHI'ITE!

His presidency started when I was in Junior High and ended when I was an adult with a new family.

You were a pretty busy young'un during those 8 years. I guess that explains why you are ill informed on a few key points.

Trouble is, it is a done deal. We, our children, our grandchildren, and so on, are chained to the debt the current (75%) and prior (25%) lunatic administrations have taken on. Escape is the only individual answer - for now.

From his record. Bush even called himself a “compassionate conservative” and actually advanced socialism in the US.

Paulson was appointed May 30, 2006. I'm sure there had not been any contributions to Obama at that time.

He seemed like a good choice at that time.
When President Bush announced his choice of Paulson he said:
"He has a lifetime of business experience, he has an intimate knowledge of financial markets, and an ability to explain economic issues in clear terms. He's earned a reputation for candor and integrity."

He seemed like a good choice at the time.

Check out the late Robert Novak's piece, "Hank Paulson's DNA," at townhall.com, written in 2007. In addition, I specifically recall Rush Limbaugh calling Paulson a Democrat who was friendly with Chuckie Schumer. Although Paulson made some contributions to Republicans (including W) in the 2000s, he also was a big contributor to Clinton's presidential campaigns. Answers.com also states that Paulson is a Democrat.

In other words, most of the evidence indicates that Paulson's true allegiance was and is to the 'Rats. A nice way of greasing the skids for a 'Rat victory in 2008 was exactly what Paulson did in urging the Wall Street bailout at the precise time he did it, just as McCain was edging a bit ahead of Obama in the polls weeks before the election.

You: Bush was a one-worlder...
Bush believed that we could raise the living standard in the whole world by giving up sovereignty...

Me: WTH do you people get this crap?

You: From his record. Bush even called himself a “compassionate conservative” and actually advanced socialism in the US.

His record? That is no answer to false claims.
What in his record, EXACTLY/EXPLICITLY, make him a "one-worlder" in your vaunted opinion?

Being, or calling oneself, a “compassionate conservative” does not make one a "one-worlder" nor does it mean that one advances socialism.

EXACTLY what is it that YOU believe was socialistic that President Bush did?

And, EXACTLY what sovereignty did President Bush cede to other nations to raise their living standards?
