Earlier this year, I was eating at a rib joint in Fort Myers Florida.
There was a country and western song playing over the restaurant's Muzak system.
I can't give you any specific lyrics but I believe the song was called "Carolina" or "Oh Carolina". If nothing else, the song had the word "Carolina" in it. The song was more upbeat and fast - near as I can remember.
I've checked around on the Internet (search engines and Youtube) but can't find what I'm looking for.
I'd appreciate any suggestions or recommendations as to what this song may have been. Thanks for the help!
‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond or
‘Going to Carolina (In My Mind)’ James Taylor?
Male, female or group singing?
Heads Carolina, Talis California?
“Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina. ?
Male (single artist, I think)
Might be “Caroline No”,,, Beach Boys,,, off of the Pet Sounds disc...Good luck!!
I have the same thing happen all the time, barring the part about the rib joint :). Hear a song, try to remember it afterwards, can't. Annoying, but it happens a lot.
Was it Tim McGraw’s “Everywhere”? The chorus goes:
Albuquerque waitin’ out a blizzard
Arizona dancin’ ‘cross the desert
Watchin’ the sun set in Monterey
Girl I swear just the other day you were
Down in Georgia pickin’ them peaches
Carolina barefoot on the beaches
No matter where you choose to be
In my heart I’ll always see you
Everywhere
A search on “lyrics” and “Carolina” produced:
Carolina, by Eric Church
Carolina, by Matt Wertz
Carolina in My Mind, James Taylor
And a lot of others. Any possibilities there?
Nuttin could be finer than to be in Carolina in the Moooornin.????
