Good evening!

November is Coming!

No doubt we'll have some wavering polls, some naysayer commentators. The MSM will play their usual role trying to pit one group of conservatives against another, promoting controversy, while ignoring the cracks in the Left's facade.

But with essentially one month left, a few hard campaigning weeks and weekends, we'll stay firmly focused on November 2 and stopping a horrendous assault on our Constitution and our Liberties.

November IS coming!

I am so glad I didn’t see it. I felt so sorry for his wife and I completely understood her problem.

No, she hasn’t stormed; she just entered. She hasn’t mentioned it to me at all. I just now told LD what I did and she laughed and laughed. I’m hoping the youngest will muse on it outloud. It was only moved far enough for her to wonder why she didn’t remember where she parked it. She should be thinking something like, “I thought I parked here, but it is there? What happened?”

Bi partisan!!!

LB, I think my # was off - I blame a radio caller - and so tomorrow will have to be 33 again...

MustKnow, that person you talked to...maybe he'll have a revelation of Biblical proportions as he heads into the voting booth...or maybe he should go vote on Nov. 3. You told him that, right???;)

There has been an earthquake off the southern coast of Papua. It did not affect my home.

Speaking of Biblical proportions, Nobama says his policies are based on his Christian beliefs, primary of which is: I am my brother's keeper.

HA! I say it is more like: Robbing Peter (the public) to pay Saul (Alinsky)...;-))

Yes, and now a tsunami warning too...

Bit, did you read the Goldberg piece? I started it, then got interrupted, so my reactions now are limited, but I do appreciate an analysis of the role of irony in our culture's downturn.

Southwest part of the island. It may affect Timor or northern Australia. The coast of Papua on that side is mostly swamps and cannibals.

Personally, and you can form your own opinion from the article, I think Jonah gets it all wrong on this one.

Irony is supposed to reinforce a point or a belief, or at least illuminate why they exist. And irony certainly has not 'permeated the foundations of our political system' -- because if it had, then John Bolton would be SecState right now (it being ironic that the right guy actually got put in the right job for once ;-)).

No, what permeates our culture is cynicism. It is cynicism that makes Nancy Pelosi think that having a comedian make a total mockery of a serious issue counts as actually dealing with it. It is cynicism that also makes her say things like 'we need to pass the bill so you can see what's in it' -- knowing full well that she is breaking house rules as well as mocking the legislative process. And it is cynicism that makes Nobama think he can make one random visit to church and toss off a few stray comments about biblical parables (ones that he has never taken the time to either understand or get right in their context) to demonstrate his 'committment' to his 'Christian' 'religion'.

They show utter contempt for us because they think we're all insufferably stupid and because they despise being required to subject themselves to the ignominy of re-election every so often, having to prostrate themselves before us for reaffirmation of what they think is their divine right to positions of power. Cynicism is their standard response when the rabble needs to hear from them.

Except it ain't workin' this year. In contrast to the Overweening Obama and the despicable Speaker, people are taking charge in their own personal lives: They are supporting their troops, they're economizing, saving instead of spending, paying down debt big-time (reversing a 60-year trend!), trying to plan for the worst but hoping for the best -- everything that Congress and the Prez should be doing but can't bring themselves to stop their headlong dash to disaster.

So I think Jonah got it wrong -- it's cynicism, not irony, that's the problem, and it's cynicism that's on the way out this year. And it's about time. ;-))

Totally agree with you. Cynicism is also the manipulation of the black vote and the senior vote, the ginning up of class warfare while individuals within the party make themselves rich with bribes and under the table investments, and the absolute LYING that Obama and his allies do to the electorate.

On a cheerier note, yesterday I had to take my laptop over to my local McDonald’s to see if it would work with Wifi. (It did.) Ran into a couple of old guys who were there with THEIR laptops, watching the FOX NEWS broadcast on the big screen in the Wifi area, and they were absolutely spot on with their observations on Obama. (Hint: they don’t like him at all.)

People are awake, and a lot of this cynical manipulation isn’t going to work.

From Sherrif Joe Arpaio:

It seems that some bands are using my name in their songs to get some publicity. I think that the record label should give me some royalties. I would use the money to help fund my immigration posse.

Msg for the San Diego band “Alligators” who wrote new song called “Kill Joe Arpaio”: BITE ME

LOLOL!

Good on ya to have the Republican Fish Fry!

I have heard most of his destructive intentions and yet, the more I read, the more I am thinking that I am living in a never-ending nightmare. He is absolutely repulsive. I am just sick to death over what they, those fools that elected this monster, have done to our great White House, our Republic, our Constitution and our Freedoms.

Just sick to death.

We all had a good laugh about it when I admitted it. It had the desired reaction. I did not want to move it too far as I was afraid she’d not see it and call the police to report it stolen. As it was, I just messed with her mind a little bit. LOL!

Lol!

Well, the Chairman of the Arapahoe County Republican Party, a regular at the breakfast, who was there Saturday and led the meeting Saturday, gave the report.

We had our candidates for State Treasurer and Secretary of State to give the talks today. Of course, they were preaching to the choir.

I’ve been watching this incremental march toward this creature for many years. My uncle used to tell us of members of our government to watch. My and many small voices have been squelched over the years as being out of the main stream. Now, with the appearance of this creature and his full flown communist democrats voting for each and every one of the communist bills he’s put forth, Americans have finally awakened to the trouble we have been and are now facing. Hopefully we can put a stop to all of this. I spoke with our congressman the other night about dismissing each and everyone of the executive appointments and bills this creature has put into our government. He told me it was up to congress to do it. I told him I would be watching and asking that each and everyone of his bills and appointments be scratched from our government, including each and everyone of his tzars.
