A Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve Robusto with a maduro wrapper
I've had this kicking around in the humidor for a month and decided to bring it in to work with me today. I had to finish up the latest impossible task and start planning the next impossible task, so I'd need some thinkin' time.
This beauty lit right up and had the smooth draw that I've come to expect from the RP line. Oddly enough, I can deal with off flavors more readily than I can with a poor draw, but I digress.
I'll forgo any pretentions of saying that I could taste 'coffee with nuances of oak transitioning to spices', I can't. But the smoke was very pleasant, quite smooth, and I just wanted to sit there in the cloud happily doodling away on my notepad.
The filler is marketed as being "secret", but I've read some rumors that it contains tobacco from India, dunno.
But I'm not going to complain.
Just had to share...
I have some curly heads if you’re interested.
Those are nice, but about $12.00/stick at the local shops. I smoke the Rocky with the narrow white wrapper on the smoking end - $7.00 - an excellent value for your smoking dollar.
Maybe Laz can bring the MD20/20 over. PINGING LAZ!!!!
Just worked my way through a box of A FUENTE gran reserve. Thought I wanted a shorter smoke. I won’t do that again. The humidor helped but not much. Dry, tasteless with an ashy taste finish. I had to punch with a wood match to get a decent draw.
If he has any of the original grape, it’s on.
extremely cool
For later
After my Steak and brat dinner last night (hey, nothing goes with meat like meat), I had a CAO CX2. I believe that is CAO’s best offering.
I’ll have to remember that for my husbands next atta boy cigar. Sometimes he just deserves something nice.”
Sounds to me like he already has something nice ... a wife that buys him cigars!
LOL!!!! Fits your screen name...
Is your real name Lewinski? ;-)
“CX2...CAOs best offering”
Personally I prefer the MX2 or LX2 or La Traviata or Brazilia or Italia or Criollo....
:-)
