Karl Rove -- When did FreeRepublic learn to hate you?
Please explain why we hate Karl Rove.

I think you’re blathering without a basis for an argument. If that’s a problem, so be it, Internet Tough Guy.
The hate Rove syndrome is merely a symptomatic outbreak of pompous sanctimonious selfrighteous chest beating that is epidemic on Free Republic.
bandwagon on hating every conservative in the media who does not hold a majority conservative opinion on every single issue.
Take Krauthammer. He has also been very hard on O’Donnell. I still greatly admire him and lost no respect for him for it. Charles’ reputation has been built as an observer and commentator of events. Rove is different. He gained his reputation as a party political operative. And even as he tried to pawn himself off as a Krauthammer he continued, behind the scenes, BE a political operative. I have lost all respect for him as either a pundit OR operative.
Rove has made no secret of his support for Romney as McCains VP.
I provided a basis for my argument plenty of times. I think that there is more that fuels this anti-Rove sentiment then just his wrong-headed view on ODonnell. There have been many within the Paul / Code Pink movement who would love to see conservatives trash and attack Rove. My only point was that I was not jumping on that bandwagon and that conservatives shouldnt throw the baby out with the bathwater , so to speak. Whether I am right or wrong that is my opinion.
Conservatives would be wise to beware of the Paulite type of mentality that wants to label conservatives as neocons and turn every mistake by a conservative into an excuse to make them the enemy. Rove was instrumental in preventing us from having Gore or Kerry as president and in effect (for better or worse) getting the conservative movement to where it is today.
So, you have to ask who within the GOP had the most to lose from O'Donnell's victory, and you'll probably have your answer.
My guess---probably Romney since O'Donnell's victory was also Sarah Palin's victory.
I think that there is more that fuels this anti-Rove sentiment then just his wrong-headed view on ODonnell.
How can I not take that as an insinuation of a conspiracy against Rove?
And BTW O’Donnell is the OPPOSITE of the kind of candidate Paulitese like. She is a SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE.
It is not a conspiracy theory that Paul types have a serious dislike for Rove based upon the Code Pink belief system that they hold. It is also not a conspiracy theory to admit that FR has been bombarded with many of the Paulites preaching their mentality. these are just facts that I am pointing out and not some conspiracy theory.
I disagree with Rove on this issue and I am sure there are others I would as well but I not in agreement with the all out condemnation of him.
I know. I am very happy and thrilled that she beat the liberal Castle. She seems very much to be a complete conservative. As I have said I disageree with Rove’s position on this.
Ok I get that you despise libertarians. Obviously so does Rove. How do you explain his disgust with a Social Conservative like O’Donnell?
Rove is not a conservative, but a party type first. Enough said!
The way you continually push this “the Paul / Code Pink movement” nonsense has all the signals of a Big Lie attempt.
Homey don’t play that.
Sorry you don’t like legitimate criticism of Rove, perhaps best covered by TitansAFC’s post 141 in this thread.
We’ll await anything resembling an argument regarding your “Paul / Code Pink movement” other than your desperate attempts to link the two with those you disagree with via Big Lie innuendo.
While Rove has done some worthwhile things, his past efforts are not the issue here. Though I can certainly see why a Rove apologist would like to deflect from his current actions regarding the DE Senate seat, Castle, and O’Donnell by bringing up his past accomplishments.
What Rove has really done here is show his undying allegiance to the The Ruling Class vs. The Country Class. If you are not familiar with this line of thinking, you should read America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution. There are lines in current American politics that do not align with just party lines, and Rove has put himself squarely on the side opposite those represented by the Tea Party movement.
More politics as usual, as he has shown himself to represent, is not the answer.
I said from my first post in this thread that I have no problem with conservative criticism of Rove but that I didnt like some of the over the top rants that wanted to make him an enemy. So I have made no apologies for his position nor did I push the point I made about the Paulites but was instead continually challenged on it (after mentioning it once) by the likes of you and so I responded and tried to better explain my point. Responding to posts does not make your case that I am pushing it. I have stood against the likes of Code pink and the Paulites on the streets and have also ran into the Paulites who push their neo-con propaganda here at FR as well.
If you do not like it or play that homey then too bad.
That being said I would take ODonnell over Rove of course. I will support her strongly. I do believe that Rove (and Krauthammer) will be proven wrong. I just do not see the logic in making either enemies.
Rove and Krauthammer seem to think that O’Donnell is not electable in Deleware. Is there more to it?
I also do not despise libertarians. Especially true libertarians. There are many phoney libertarians, imo, (like the ones that march hand in hand with the progressive Marxists) and them I do despise.
I honestly wish that the two major ideologies in America were conservatism and libertarianism and that this Marxist progressive ideology was destroyed.
I look at Rove and see Wesley Mooch.
He’s just a gas bag.
Yes there is. Rove thoroughly make that point directly to Republicans in Delaware. They ignored him. I don’t begrudge him his emotional lashing over that on Tuesday night. To continue to harp on it for the rest of the week is beyond the pale as I define it.
Rove has a verifiable, consistent pattern that when there is a choice between two candidates he works for the benefit of the more liberal one. And Castle was beyond just more liberal. He voted for cap and trade on congress and PROMISE Harry Reid that he’d vote for it in the Senate. That makes him a socialist in my book. I’d rather see a democrat elected than a socialist Republican. Rove went to the mat,for him.
It could just as easibly be said that he leans towards incumbents instead of painting Rove as liberal.
Can you list for me the candidates that Rove has supported?
