Karl Rove -- When did FreeRepublic learn to hate you?
Please explain why we hate Karl Rove.

I just want him to put on his big boy pants and quit acting like a child.
He behaved in a way that was petty and beneath him when the good people of Delaware decided not to choose his fair haired boy. It's a primary Karl. When you lose you are suppose to accept with grace and rally behind your party's chosen candidate.
This season has been hard on those who thought they were the anointed ones. People really are not in the mood for "Daddy's spoiled little princess" or "I'm so bipartisan that I only eat half a sandwich" candidates. So far the actions of most of the losers have only confirmed the fact that the people knew what they were doing when they rejected them.
So no, I don't hate Karl. I just want him to build a bridge and get over it.
Making a phone call in support of a candidate does not make a conspiracy of his secret work to undermine the people.
If that is what you want to enforce against conservatives then you are preaching a mentality of eating our own, 100%.
If Rove is some sort of RINO lover then I am of course 100% wrong in this case but I do not see the evidence of that.

It sounds like the same old crap that we have heard for years from the Paul type and Code Pink. Bush Lied. Rove Lied.
Like I said I do not see Rove as an enemy to the people. Yet of course we are now seeing some who do. It is an interesting development.
God forbid that he be allowed to make a mistake.
I started hating Karl Rove after the Medicare Part D “vote”.
Rove is part of the bigger governement establishment within the GOP...PERIOD. He needs to go away.
Rove didn't graduate at all.
The issue was a serious one but not about Ms. O'Donnell ~ more the problem with universities that refuse to credit students for course work completed simply because they OWE SOME MONEY.
It can take some time to get that sort of thing cleared up, particularly if there's any question about the legitimacy of the bills ~ then, once you get it paid enough time may have elapsed that there's a question about if the course work was completed within the required time limit (e.g. 5 years to get a degree).
Do you know what the average voter thinks of the Democrats who criticize Sarah Palin for attending 3 different colleges? I'll clue you in ~ it doesn't hurt Sarah at all.
The Democrats are now making an argument that only an Ivy League degree (like "W"'s degree from Yale) has value for top end public office ~ A full 25% of the electorate disagrees with that contention.
The other issue was her mortgage ~ and the Democrats have been across the waterfront on that one ~ with nothing sticking. Tens of millions of Americans can sympathize with this woman, and I doubt she's without serious sympathy in Delaware.
Now, for Coons, her opponent. He's a Commie and would have been operating a death camp for dissenters if things had gone his way years ago.
The days of compromise with the moderates in the GOP are over. It was a failed attempt for conservatives. They screwed us at every turn.
He's fairly moderate, for a Republican, and longs for the old days when he and his ilk held sway.
We're done playing footsie with the moderates. It doesn't make them bad guys, but it's time they sit down and shut up and let the big boys drive the bus. To the promised land or over a cliff. It's all or nothing.
I am sure there are some who will want to make even conservatives go away by picking at every imperfectin that they could find.
Some are criticizing Rove for pointing out imperfections with O’Donnell. I also disagree with him. But these same people want to do the same to Rove as a person. They want to make him the enemy based upon any little weakness that they can find.
It would not suprise me at all if it the same Ron Paul/Code Pink mentality that is trying to use an anti-establishment mentality to go after conservatives at every turn.

That is an established fact too. Recall his staunch support for Arlan Specter. Contrast that to his treatment of O’Donnell.
He supported Specter too? That is rather damning.
But seriously. I am not sure why some think that Rove has to meet their complete absolute standards. I have a mind of my own as do most Americans. I listen and agree with him when I do and disagree with him when I do not.
Yet it seems as if some want to make more of it and want to pronounce him an enemy.
And as I said before it is the Code Pink / Ron Paul types who walk around wanting him imprisoned or put to death.
I see no reason to jump on this bandwagon. Paulites are not conservatives but useful idiots for the left-wing.
Rove is not some sort of enemy in my book at all. He is not a bad guy or conservative at all.
I have been watching Rove for a decade. Every year I respect him less. I can only conclude his goals are not congruent with the tea party movement - limited Constitutional Government.
Does that make him my political enemy - sure does. Even more dangerous because he pretends to be our friend.

Well you may be right as to whether of not he is a true conservative but he still has certainly done more to keep conservatism alive then many others.
Personally I have no use though for the type of campaign that acts as if conservatives who do not live up to every single measure must be condemned and made into enemies. Rove is not running for electgion but simply giving commentary.
If he was a candaidate and made a stance like this I may think differently. But I am not jumping on a bandwagon on hating every conservative in the media who does not hold a majority conservative opinion on every single issue.
Well said. The impression I got from Rove’s statements was these issues were simmering under the radar waiting to be thrown out. It makes me think that Rove is out of touch with what’s going on in Delaware if Christine O’Donnell has not addressed them satisfactorily.

I do believe in miracles, and pray for America to repent or turn around every day. :)
