Everyone knows the universe was created 9 hours ago when I woke up, and is centered wherever my eyeballs are. Also, when I die, you all disappear forever.

Of course, you can make anything the center of the universe and have everything rotating around it. It just isn’t the simplest explanation of the movements of the other bodies.

They are. And although you might think otherwise from the top of your head, Dr. Sungenis has been talking about this for a few years, and isn’t a crackpot. He’s actually a pretty kick-butt apologist. I don’t know much of the subject matter here, just giving what tiny background I do know.

The Michelson-Morley experiments to determine the amount of rotation of the Earth in the aether were so damning that Einstein had to come up with the absolute speed of light to refute them and the existence of aether. What no one seems to realize is that the whole talk of black matter is really a reexamination of aether which will bring up those experiments again.
You may not wish to believe it, but there is sound scientific evidence for a non-rotating Earth.

Galileo was wrong and the Catholic Church right, but not for these crackpot reasons.
Relative to the Big Bang, wherever you are is the center of the universe and the edge of spacetime. Viewed one way, every direction you look, even across a room, is looking back in time. Looking in any direction at night, the Big Bang is 13.7 billion light years away and getting further away at nearly the speed of light. You, along with every other point in the universe, is exactly at the center of it. In other words, nothing has moved from the center since creation. Looked at from the Big Bang, everything is at the edge of a sphere of expanding space-time. There is no center of the edge of a sphere, but neither can you look at anything from the Big Bang without backward travel in the time dimension. It is just a 3D construct of 4 dimensions, replacing one of the spatial dimensions with time.

So is the author/creator of this meeting, since there is no such thing as a “First Annual” anything! It can be the inaugural, but until there is a second event, it’s NOT annual!
