Good evening!
The week ahead...
On the R side, the very hot Delaware primary is Tues. I'm afraid whoever wins, O'Donnell or Castle, will be much damaged, but maybe an R pickup here was unlikely in the first place. Looks to me like confrontations between the conservatives and the R establishment in the state will continue no matter what happens.
On the other side, the President had a full - for him - work week last week, so this week he is reverting to his party/vacation mode.
He can look forward to a couple of black tie dinners and a WH reception for some star collegiate athletes.
Comfort food! Yes!
Cowboys aren’t doing to well against Washington. Poor Roomey, he’s not having a happy evening.
Yippe yi yo ki yay! Ride ‘em, Cowboys!
I know just how he feels. I cheered for Penn State and Tennessee yesterday. :(
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Castle earning 48% of the vote, while Coons gets 37% support. Six percent (6%) prefer some other candidate, and nine percent (9%) remain undecided. The race is little changed from early last month, when Castle held a 49% to 37% edge over Coons, a country executive who has never sought statewide office. July was the first time in Rasmussen Reports surveying of the race this year that support for Castle dipped below the 50% mark.P> Prior to July, Castle earned between 53% and 56% support, while Coons support fell in a 27% to 32% range.
Coons leads conservative activist Christine ODonnell, who is challenging Castle for the GOP Senate nomination in a primary next Tuesday, by a 47% to 36% margin. Given that matchup, eight percent (8%) prefer another candidate, while nine percent (9%) are undecided.
I misread that....I thought Rasmussen had Castle up in the primary
Beautiful!
Yeah! I understand. All these poll numbers are making my head spin..more than usual. ;-)
You thread-killer. Starting off with a major kill.
Where is everybody??
Been watching the sparring between Boehner and Gibbsy. Anyone have an opinion? Even though Boehner extended the hand of compromise on the tax cut extensions yesterday (and received much criticism from the right), Gibbs is still out this morning demonizing Boehner.
I just love this “new tone” we were promised!
Oh Great. Now that Imam Rauf is on the tellie lecturing us on tolerance. Good Grief.
Slow-to-start this a.m.
Raven, I'm listening to Charlie Cook on Bennett's show. He's quite positive on Rs for a lot of reasons...
but Delaware is likely to remain in the D column
0Care extortion Boy, that's for sure, but not a surprising development
Get set for big premium hikes Betsey McCaughey
It's a sad day in the HOB household. We were at that game....the best part was the tailgating.
More Gibb-erish. Yuck!
I would say that he should crawl back to where he’s from, but I don’t want him here.
BBL on our way to the lawyer’s office this morning. Be happy!
I heard a reporter on FOX saying the unradical imum was saying radical Americans have hijacked the plans for the Monument of Conquest. I guess we must be oh so sensitive toward the cult of muslim with the same fervency they show to Christians and Jews. Yeah, sure.
