‘MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL’
You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.
I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say ‘Good-Bye.’ I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, ‘Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.’
I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn’t coming home that night.
I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. ‘I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!’ I said.
‘Of course I will show you the way home - only
believe in Me now.’
I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.
I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.
I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?
I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name - though not all knew Me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.
Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn’t hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; ‘Come to Me... this way... take
my hand.’ Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.
I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do. However, if you were
there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?
Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you. But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
‘ready to go.’
I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.
Yes! God Bless America. Thank you for your service.
Good morning lysie and everybody. God bless the military of the United States of America.
Another traveling day today, we are heading home.
Safe travels, dear FRiend.
Have a good day! Off to my games. First one is a JV game with my son! Our first JV together. Then off to lala land for a game in Ithaca! Remembering the 9/11 terror attack proudly flying the stars and stripes!
Obama, the president (with a little p) has no idea of what this means to us, he being a failure as a politician, just another day to him. He is not qualified to hold the presidents job. He is doing more harm to us than anyone in history.
I think the best thing for me is to get back on track for this coming day. I will drink another cup of coffee, wait for the kids to get up, then go over and spend some time with them. I will not show my ‘feelings’ of this day, I will not even mention it as they know how I feel.
This day of the bombings makes me down, way down, and to know what we have in the ‘big office’ just makes me sick.

The day our nation changed....forever.
May God bless America
Praise the Lord...We are finally getting some rain!
Good morning, lysie.
On september 11, 2001 I was at home by myself. I was watching Fox when the second plane hit.
I tried to get on FR, but as most of you knew, it was overloaded and so all I could do was read the posts of those who did manage to get on. My husband was at work, as was my son. My daughter was in school.
I have never felt so isolated and honestly, quite frightened. I went out to fill the car up with gas and buy some bottled water, because I felt like I had to do something. The streets were pretty empty, and the people in stores kept asking me what I knew about what was going on.
Over the next few weeks (until after we went into Afghanistan) the country was very united. Even my democrat sister told me she was proud of president bush.
And then Hillary waved that headline “Bush Knew” in the well of the Senate, and the chipping away at President Bush, his administration, and our military began.
The democrats mocked and criticized. They ranted and called President Bush a liar. Some said he could have prevented the attack. They systematically destroyed his reputation with the public. And not just him; they went after anyone with ties to him: Cheney, Condi, Rumsfeld, aides, relatives, you name it.
And yet that wasn’t enough. Kerry, Durbin, and others went after the troops themselves, accusing them of atrocities and nazi-like behavior. They grilled generals and forced them to listen to humiliating accusations. They were called liars and betrayers as well.
So hear we are, 9 years later. We have a man in the presidency who hates this country and loves Islamic dictators. Our nation has been divided. Our troops were robbed of public praise. And our children have been robbed of heroes to look up to instead of high-paid athletes and rock stars.
Most harmfully, the war has been prolonged because these horrible people have told the Muslim world, through their words and deeds, that if the terrorists hang on long enough, we will weaken and give up. The reason this has been the longest war is because of the democrats.
So now, on September 11, 2010, the media (who aided and abetted the democrats) will stand and spend a moment talking about 9/11, mostly about how it affected THEM.
I haven’t forgotten September 11, but I haven’t forgotten what the democrats did, either.
BUMP
Drive safely pb. Welcome home.
Never forget the attack....always remember the courage and sacrifice of that day and the days afterward.
Good morning.
