Playboy Bunny, Tiffany Livingston, Tries To Exit Jet Mid-Flight
My Fox NY ^ | Today | Staff Report

Posted on 09/10/2010 7:48:40 AM PDT by day10

MYFOXNY.COM - A Playboy centerfold tried to bust out -- midair -- from a jet amid a bad case of high anxiety.

Law enforcement officers met a JetBlue plane at its arrival gate in Newark Liberty International Airport Thursday afternoon because of a passenger who was causing a disturbance on board, the airline reported.

The passenger was identified as 21-year-old Tiffany Livingston. She was aboard JetBlue Flight 522 from Florida to Newark, N.J., on Thursday when she bolted from her seat and tried to open the door of the plane.

She had became agitated because of turbulence and appeared to grab the handle of an emergency door, a source told Fox 5 News. Then two off-duty police officers who happened to be on the flight stopped her.

The plane, Flight 552 from Fort Myers, Florida, landed safely and without incident, said Alison Croyle, a spokesperson for the airline. "JetBlue will cooperate fully with local authorities, who are investigating this matter," she said in a statement.

"She said she's gone through this before, but never this bad, and didn't have ... her medication," one source told the New York Post .

Livingston was detained and placed in federal custody.

She was the centerfold for the debut edition of VIP, the Singapore version of Playboy, in which she was described as "not just another pretty face."

"Tiffany boasts the immaculate poise of a mature model wrapped with a bubbly demeanor," the profile said.

Asked if she believed in destiny, Tiffany Livingston posted, "I'm the kind of person, who needs to feel like everything happens for a reason. When you date a guy and it goes badly, that's horrible. But if you can write a song about it, then it was worth it."

LOL I have to tell you, my husband offers to take me on business trips all the time but I won’t go because I won’t fly. He’s resigned to it now.

“And if you had a girl tell you, “You’re more like a brother to me” in a breathless voice during passionate kissing, you likely met her.”

No, the real crazy ones were “Oh, Daddy!” or “I’ve always wanted to score football player from the ________, I’ve had (((insert five or six professional sports teams here).

Really hot, fit, often smart, 100% crazy, objectifying themselves and men.

UPDATE: According to latest developments and interviews to Livingston, police believes she was not trying to open the door, but finding a way to stabilize herself during the attack. So, now they have released her and have announced that this will not be treated as a crime.

I don’t mind heights I have control of, but I don’t like mechanical heights (glass elevators or someone else driving a road without guardrails for instance-I hate the ski run road to Sierra Blanca!)

For me, it was the lack of control you get without a parachute.

Every flight I take now is a white knuckle adventure...my hands are soggy until I hit the tarmac.

LOL, I know what you mean, no parachute and you know that the doors will never open during the flight, you are absolutely at their mercy for the entire trip.

I don’t like to fly. It’s not the height, heck I climb masts on Navy ships, it’s the not being in control. I don’t like to ride busses, trains, planes, even cars with someone else driving. The only person I ever trusted driving was my Dad. I tolerate my wife’s driving but she still scares me.

I'm scared of widths.

One of my loved ones suffers from similar issues. Triggers are closed, cramped, stuffy, hot, low air flow, no windows or any combination thereof. Could be a car, bus, plane, train, boat, snorkle mask, dark room, MRI tube, heights, elevators, dehydration, even carnival rides etc.

Turns out this extreme anxiety is the body’s response to unresolved issues in life and therefore the brain is flooded with nerve signals that overload it and cause extreme fight/flight symptoms. Could be repressed child-hood things or current things in life that cause feelings of loss of control. Mentally, it is very difficult to bring the anxiety level down when it hits (so suddenly) so small doses of medicine help with instances such as this young lady on the plane.

It is MUCH more common than most realize but because it is sometimes seen as rather shameful - as many of these posts obviously show - nobody likes to admit it. The cure isn’t straight forward either but a good start is to realize it is a natural response the body has to an extreme amount of inputs. And lots of people have the same condition.

Depths, might get the bends.
And then no amount of ironing with ever straighten you out again.
