A plane just crashed near SFO in San Bruno, CA. Prayers to all affected.
Wow, it’s big. But Fox cuts away to the Drug War.
It was the asteroid I tell you!

What do they do...shut off the gas line?
Film on Fox (about 15 secs worth) with promise of updates. Horrendous looking fire.
Thanks for the link. Have it on now.
the fire started out as a long, roaring sound,
Maybe they will send Shep out so he can wad his panties....or, since it’s CA perhaps Geraldo.
“So NOW you trust the MSM? ;-) “
Not at all, but where did you hear that it WAS a plane crash?
“Possible plane crash” would be appropriate enough.

Update: 7:15pm Authorities say they don’t know what caused the explosion and fire. Several residents reported hearing a rumbling sound before the explosion and fire. But neither the FAA nor San Francisco International Airport are reporting that any plane has crashed.
Update: 7:10pm, Television video is showing a huge fireball engulfing several residential blocks.
Update, 7pm, KCBS is reporting that multiple residential blocks are on fire. The neighborhood is engulfed in a wall of flames. Television pictures show multiple houses on fire.
A KCBS reporter talked to a woman who just barely made it out of her home before it was engulfed in flames. As of 7:05pm, the fire was still burning unchecked and out of control.
KCBS is reporting that at least a dozen houses and as many as 20 cars are on fire.
A KCBS reporter on the scene says he saw paramedics treating a number of people who have been injured. A staging area has been set up at the Lunardi’s Market in San Bruno.
Obama has already ordered a shutdown of all gas mains and gas drilling operations across the United States. This is a very dangerous hydrocarbon fuel. Gas companies are making plans to ship their drilling rigs overseas beginning tomorrow.
All they can possibly know by now is that it’s not terrorism, nothing to see, move along! :)
7:21: KTVU is quoting a source within PG&E as saying that the cause of the explosion and subsequent fire was indeed a break in a natural gas line. Describing the source as “very reliable,” they quote him or her as saying that the broken line is line number 132, a large (16-24 inches) pipe. They do not know when they will be able to repair it.
No aircraft involved or confirmed. Apparently live report says the gas station near Lunardi’s has exploded. Per Channel 5 KPIX at 19:25.30.
The pic shows some folks use gas, others don't?
That's why I always file tax returns with the auto extension. The Earth could be hit at any time and who wants to have wasted a day on doing taxes too early?
I live by a large gas line. PGE probably doesn’t own it. It is going to be someone like Mojave Pipeline. Anyway the fire dept will know who to contact.
7:26: “There is no fighting this fire. It is unbelievable,” says one reports. “I’ve never seen anything like it.” We concur. It’s just one large fireball shooting from the ground.
When it happened here, it was about 0800 on a Sunday morning. There was a church across the street. In God’s providence, the people who had gone to set up for church had just left to finish preparing at home and no one else had gone downtown yet.
Lots and lots of property damage but no loss of life for us.
