DM always turned out high quality songs and videos. I wish Allan Wilder had not left.
Well you know who was also possibly even more influential and was omitted - Kraftwerk. To synth bands and hip hop ripping up pieces of their songs.
They were the best concert I saw in my life and I saw a few including Bowie and Depeche Mode. DM was ruined by screaming girls. It was like being next to a jet engine. I also saw Madness which was the most fun concert.
I notice The Kinks at only #39. What a travesty. Everyone ripped them off/influenced by them: The Jam, Pretenders, Blur, Oasis and others.
No.
Iggy and the Stooges belong there.
There you go. Yet another oversight in a long list of oversights.
In a fair world, XTC would be on the list.
Agreed. I am glad they reunited before the guitarist died. Iggy though needs to put a shirt on. LOL!
Beyonce on this list. Give me a break.
What about Chicago, especially the period when they had Terry Kath.
Now you’re talking!
I saw Frank ONCE.
It changed mylife.
Crowded House?
INXS?
Iggy is as old as dirt now LoL
I thought the same thing.
Beyonce?
Ain’t even a name, much less a decades-long, world class talent...

"Yo Frantzie I'm gonna let you finish , but Beyonce is one of the greatest artists of all time!"
If you say so, from Everyday on back to Remember Two Things they were fantastic.
No.
Any fair barometer of historical placement would have to be songs or albums which chart on the Top 40, and that leaves the Stooges out.
Yeah but Andy Patridge leftist lyrics after a while got to me. He was a major Labour party idiot like Paul Weller (The Jam) and a lot of others. A big Reagan basher. Ditto The Heaven 17.
The final XTC straw was No Thugs in Our House which was about those mean old whites in the UK supposedly beating up Islamics. Largely fiction.
Dear God - largely an athiest ode was also fairly annoying. Great lyricist if he would “shut up and sing.”
I missed out on seeing Zappa Plays Zappa.
Imagine seeing Zappa playing with Adrian Belew or Steve Vai, guitar heaven.
