The prospect of even a small exploration drilling program near the site of one of the worst U.S. natural disasters in modern memory has environmentalists blowing their tops.

As Ascot Resources announced they have begun exploration drilling on the Mt. Margaret property , a former Duval Corp. property located in the St. Helens Mining District of Skamania County in Washington State, Oregon-based environmentalists say even Ascot's small drilling program has no business disturbing the Mount St. Helens National Monument.

Let's see, copper for wind power, electric cars and the grid, where are we going to get it? Maybe the magic unicorn will provide it.

It’s a stinking volcano, get over it you sub humans!!!

Mine where the minerals are, drill for oil where the oil is, and cut down forests where they grow!!!!!

Enviros can go worship land that is useless for human use!

Exactly. When they can’t run their electric cars because we can’t the elements in the U.S., we’ll go back to horses.

“Mine where the minerals are, ....”

Our Earth Mother, Gaia, expressed these minerals, through the nipple of Mt. St. Helens, to provide for her human children. We are to rejoice in the bounty Gaia has provided us; and mine those minerals, before she takes them back.

Sheesh, you'd think that the envriowhackos would get that.

—naaa—as the jefe of Minturn, Colorado—(a sincere “environmentalist”) stated some years ago at a hearing pertaining to mining- —”minerals are irrelevant to our modern society”-—(sarc)

environmentalists say even Ascot's small drilling program has no business disturbing the Mount St. Helens National Monument.

They think that their wishes, whims, and feelings are enough justification for the use of government force to diminish the prosperity and happiness of others.

“When they can’t run their electric cars because we can’t the elements in the U.S., we’ll go back to horses.”

That’s the idea. Return to thre 14th century is the stated goal - replete with buffalo ranging freely throughout ther US midwest. The enviowackos see themselves living in teepees recreating the American Indian experience ... as they beleive it should have been.

However, they have to contend with the Human Extinction Movement (also a lefty group) for leadership. Unfortuately for the envirowackos, the HEM agrees with middle eastern mussies with the same view point...

Luddites all of ‘em!! They need to move out of mom and dads house and see what it’s like to live in the real world, learn how and what creates jobs-—like mining for instance.
