For those of you who are out of the know (count yourself fortunate), this is the same Tim McGraw who stated that Bill Clinton was the GREATEST American president. The same Tim McGraw who is married to Faith Hill. The same Faith Hill who stated that then President Bush should be in New Orleans (during the Katrina disaster) to personally help clean up.

For those of you who haven't noticed, McGraw's been working in front of the camera trying to play a guy trying to act. I have told me family that I believe the reason McGraw and his wife are receiving film roles is because the Left is grooming them to run for public office. Mark my words, it will happen.

Frankly I don’t think the Rat base would have cared and the GOP disagrees with him anyhow.

Possibly, or maybe just to influence those "redneck folk that cling to their Bibles and guns.

Good post BTW.

Why wouldn’t a Democrat think President Clinton is the Greatest President in the World? Do you think Tim would pick Carter or Obama? Sheesh. Republicans often say that Reagan is the greatest President. I don’t see a problem with this. Didn’t we say that Obama should have been down to the gulf to help out? As far as a song goes, if it is a four day event and they have to cut it to three hours, a lot of songs were cut. This seems very conspiracy to me. But I just don’t get caught up with people’s opinions of different Presidents and such. Who really cares. We should be caring about election 2010 and not a country singer who does not agree with Reagan being the greatest President ever.

I am clueless about this white power fist you speak of. Is this a southern thing or a democrat thing or a good old boy thing or a KKK thing or what??? Is it a bad thing or a good thing? Since you say McGraw is a big liberal, is this something that white liberals are all doing now? I do put my fist up in the air watching football, but I don’t want people to confuse me with being liberal.

After the couple’s obvious love affair began with Obama and their true colors came out, I totally tuned out Tim and Faith. Carrie rocks - have loved her since AI. Thanks for the great post.

Good grief... I hardly know Tim McGraw from Tiny Tim, but to think there is some sort of White Power BS attached to a fist pump is just pig ignorant. Breitbart is such a charlatan. To those that want to tell me what a "fearless journalist" he is I can only say this: Pull your head out.

I don’t think McGraw fist pumping to southern voice has shite to do with white power.

I live here and know him vaguely. He is a not very well informed southern Democrat who is a little bit socially conservative. His wife who is from Mississippi and should know better runs with the arty feel good crowd here and probably tugs him that way with her persuasive skills which appear to be quite nice.

Most artists here are far more conservative than the witches coven of old fembot women who run music row except as label heads.

Now the snub of Underwood and Jesus is about what to expect from media folks from New York who like neither Country Music or Jesus.

CMT is much the same...run by the same crowd who ran MTV and VH1 in the ground...aside from Chet Flippo they suck too...I will not go to social crap here where they are..bunch of metero and gay programmers basically...and dark angry womyn.

Oh my goodness, that video of Carrie singing Jesus Take the Wheel/How Great Thou Art was just amazing. I cried.

I didn’t know she had such a strong faith, but heard her the other night on an awards show thank “my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” And I can not only see her passion in this video, but I can feel it too. Praise to the Lord!

God bless Carrie Underwood for glorifying the Lord the way she did with those songs. What an amazing gift He has given her!

That video was awesome. That girl has a set of pipes! That was definitely a moment that should have been the highlight of the show instead of ignored.

of course they get roles because they're leftist rat limosine liberals...

Timmy thinks he's governor material don't you know?....that's why he lives in Tennesse technically but had or still has the Howood mansion....him and his ho wife, the wife who slept her way into a Nashville recording contract.....she moved to Nashville as a secretary and married a big time recording exce...divorced him, got engaged to another exec, ditched him, and grabbed hold of Timmy by becoming pregnant a little "early".IIRC.....

but I digress....

political correctness abounds...when Timmy had his concert in Seattle with Lady Antebellum, the leftiest writer, who also writes for the "Stranger"...a leftist rag......went on and on about how great Timmy was and how horrible Lady Antebellum was......all I could think is that the rats are protecting and propping up one of their own....

don't forget that after Achy Breaky whatshisname backed Clintoon in the 90's,he got his own tv show.....and then bagged a show for his dtr that awful Miley Cyrus....

This is what you call a bigtime stretch.

I don’t think raising one’s fist in the air means white power... Especially when the song ‘Southern Voice’ mentions many blacks.

Hank Williams sang it
Number 3 drove it
Chuck Berry twanged it
Will Falkner wrote it
Aretha Franklin sold it
Dolly Parton graced it
Rosa Parks rode it
Scarlett O chased it

Smooth as the hickory wind
That blows from Memphis
Down to Appalachicola*
It’s hi ya’ll did ya eat well
Come on in I’m
Sure glad to know ya
Don’t let this old gold cross
In this Allman Brothers t-shirt throw ya
It’s cicadas making noise
With a southern voice

Hank Aaron smacked it
Michael Jordan dunked it
Pocahantas tracked it
Jack Daniels drunk it
Tom Petty rocked it
Dr. King paved it
Bear Bryant won it
Billy Graham saved it
