Revealing: What ABC Didn’t Show You from the CMA Country Music Fest

Posted By Bruce Carroll On September 2, 2010

This article is nearly three months in the making. For the second year in a row, my partner John and I attended the Country Music Association (CMA) Music Fest in Nashville, TN in early June. As a side note, if you ever get the opportunity – GO! It is a weeklong celebration of great country music and the great American city of Nashville.

But this isn’t a tourist agency pimping of Music City. Nope, it is a damning indictment of Hollywood’s natural, auto-immune liberal bias. Let me explain.

During the actual CMA Music Fest in June there is a massive concert each of four nights at LP Field where the Tennessee Titans play football in the fall. The good old American Broadcasting Company takes four nights of country music and compresses it into three hours. That edited program was shown last evening on ABC for all to see.

As I sat in LP Field in June and saw each night’s great entertainment unfold, I knew with confidence that two notable events would NOT be aired last night on ABC. I was right.

In fact, I tweeted “live” from the floor of the concert when one of them occurred. Unfortunately, as usual, Twitter’s status history is malfunctioning. When viewers saw Tim McGraw sing “Southern Voice” last night on ABC, there was an important moment that the network cleverly edited out and actively hid from America. Why? Because it was inflammatory and would have exposed McGraw, a passionate Democrat activist, to extreme ridicule today.

I always thought that the RATS loved FDR. To this generation to the RATS Clinton was FDR. And now these RATS think Obama is FDR.

I don’t think half the RATS from today’s generation can name more than 5 Presidents with Lincoln and Washington being 2 of them.

Black Power makes the fist. White Power is the Hitler salute.

Just wanted to get it straight from someone who is 59, from the south, and has seen it all.

My church sings How Great Thou Art quite often. And for good reason.

That video was awesome. That girl has a set of pipes! That was definitely a moment that should have been the highlight of the show instead of ignored.

I think you are wrong about that. I have see it performed many many times by country artists. As a matter of fact it is probably the most performed hymn in country music today.

Hey, the grammatical error remark wasn't meant for you and perhaps my droll sense of humor isn't your cup of tea, but I meant no harm.

McGraw can still KMA! Please don't take that personally either!

of course they get roles because they're leftist rat limosine liberals...

Timmy thinks he's governor material don't you know?....that's why he lives in Tennesse technically but had or still has the Howood mansion....him and his ho wife, the wife who slept her way into a Nashville recording contract.....she moved to Nashville as a secretary and married a big time recording exce...divorced him, got engaged to another exec, ditched him, and grabbed hold of Timmy by becoming pregnant a little "early".IIRC.....

but I digress....

political correctness abounds...when Timmy had his concert in Seattle with Lady Antebellum, the leftiest writer, who also writes for the "Stranger"...a leftist rag......went on and on about how great Timmy was and how horrible Lady Antebellum was......all I could think is that the rats are protecting and propping up one of their own....

don't forget that after Achy Breaky whatshisname backed Clintoon in the 90's,he got his own tv show.....and then bagged a show for his dtr that awful Miley Cyrus....

McGraw is putting out music pretending he's a real southern old fashioned country boy.....he is not....he's the ultra liberal hypocrite and people ought to know that he is selling phoney baloney....

he's a zillionaire that has several houses and has NOTHING in common with a "Southern" man....

no he is not into white power or anything like that at all....the writer was simply saying if it was a more conservative singer....say like Toby Keith or Sammy Kershaw ..who had done that, it would have been covered l24/7 about those "evil" country fans .....

the point is ...Timmy didn't get called on it....he's a rat thru and thru.....the rats protect their own...

This is what you call a bigtime stretch.

I don’t think raising one’s fist in the air means white power... Especially when the song ‘Southern Voice’ mentions many blacks.

Hank Williams sang it
Number 3 drove it
Chuck Berry twanged it
Will Falkner wrote it
Aretha Franklin sold it
Dolly Parton graced it
Rosa Parks rode it
Scarlett O chased it

Smooth as the hickory wind
That blows from Memphis
Down to Appalachicola*
It’s hi ya’ll did ya eat well
Come on in I’m
Sure glad to know ya
Don’t let this old gold cross
In this Allman Brothers t-shirt throw ya
It’s cicadas making noise
With a southern voice

Hank Aaron smacked it
Michael Jordan dunked it
Pocahantas tracked it
Jack Daniels drunk it
Tom Petty rocked it
Dr. King paved it
Bear Bryant won it
Billy Graham saved it

"He’s also the bastard child of baseball’s (?) Tug McGraw who wouldn’t admit it until Tim got to be older.."

yeah his mother at age 17 was fooling around and got pregnant apparently by Tug.....although, I don't know if any dna was ever taken....it could just be her desire to have had a child by someone famous...

btw....I know someone who went to school with Tug when he was in HS...her description...."he was a cocky little sh*t"......LOL....the nut doesn't fall far from the tree.....

Imho, Hefner is the only person in those photos who is exhibiting a “black power” salute.
