ORANGE A challenge to a woman's right to breastfeed in a local store has prompted mothers to stage a "Nurse-In" on Saturday.
Rose Homme said she was shopping in Cost Plus World Market in The Village at Orange on Aug. 20 and about to leave when her 10-month-old son, Oliver, began to get fussy.
"As I began walking out, I started to feed him," Homme said.
An employee approached her and asked that she cover up or feed Oliver in the bathroom or outside the store.
"I told her that it's California state law that I can feed my child anywhere," Homme said. "Then she asked out of respect for myself and other customers for me to cover up."
Homme, 29, said the discussion quickly turned into a shouting match.
"I wasn't exposing any more than I would in a tank top," Homme said. "It wasn't obscene."

Mammaries, from the corners of the store
Bulging and lactating mammaries of the way they nurse.
Cell phone pictures of the breasts they left exposed
breasts they showed to one another
for the way they nurse.
Can it be that they were all so arrogant
or were they just so misunderstood?
If they flopped them out for all the world to see
tell me who would, want to?
Mammaries, may be beautiful and yet
those too homely and obnoxious
are those who choose to project
So it's the heiphers we will remember
whenever we remember
the way they nurse.
OMG that is hilarious! Did you write that?
Yes I did.
Copied the lyrics from “the way we were” to notepad and then just replaced words and lines here and there to keep the same rhythms, and formatted and copied and pasted and posted. An “original” parody composition just for this thread.
song parody ping
the freep amazes.
Nicely done!!!
Life imitates a “Married With Children” episode.
I don’t get it either. I nursed my three kids, and I can’t imagine it being comfortable, convenient or efficient to be doing that while “walking out of a building”. Sounds like some dumb b@*&% trying to make a statement. The silly broad needs to catch a clue - she’s not the first to breast feed a baby. And the rest of us don’t care.
Oh boy a “look at MEEEE” protest. *eyeroll* No one is ever asked not to do that if they are being discreet. I think all ofthe men in the area should show up and take photos while they protest it might teach them a lesson.
If they are disrupting and obviously making a scene, I whip out my camera phone and take a picture (not of the boob) just to make a point. I then explain to those I am with that people like the one I just took a picture of are only doing it to make themselves feel better.
How could this have been posted seven minutes into the future????
I don’t understand it either; I know multiple women who are quite adept at breastfeeding discreetly.
I do know that women like this do not help the breastfeeding “cause”.
last week when i noticed the freep was running ahead of the rest of the world it was four minutes.
we are accelerating.
