For All The Cat~People Of Amy's Place
Kittens' Caturday
My Calico sisters and I had a very memorable Caturday today
With several Naps to help extend the time we could explore and play
Since our internal batteries really don't hold much of a charge
That's comparable to our size which isn't very large
We are still Kittens who are driven by wide eyed Curiosity
Wanting to touch and smell and taste everything we see
Which makes visiting Our Pretty One's Summer Room an extra special treat
With countless delightful challenges ready for singular or collective defeat
As contemplative Rowena spies an open Basket and ponders leaping in
My white gloved paw bats at a saucer hoping to coax it to spin
Oldest sister, Roxanne takes a moment to smooth down a tuft of fur beneath my left ear
For one should always be impeccably coiffed and attired when instilling fear
Into large and heavily draped Chairs parked strategically beneath an inviting Window Sill
With more than enough warm and streaming Sunlight so we each can get our fill

Time for Love
Cats and dogs have a purity
about them, as do all very young children:
and the old,
there is no artifice or deception.
The Purity of being.
It is endearing,
wholly fraught with
disasters of varying kinds.
Wholly worth the troubles
for the very presence of their being.
Pure sweetness and joy,
laughter at their antics,
accepting us without judging.
to those that love them.
We are privileged to have pets,
and care for their needs.
Food/love, play/love, health,love,
exercise/love, shelter/love.
Grooming/ love,
TIME together/love.
