A BABY girl mauled by her family's pet dingo-cross dog suffered more than 100 bite wounds, a doctor has told an inquest.
Twenty-two-month-old Kara Compton's injuries were described by two senior nurses on Tuesday as the most horrific they've seen.
Kara was in bed in her family's home at Bunyip, in Victoria's east, when the dog climbed onto her bed and mauled her.
She was found by her father and taken by ambulance to Dandenong Hospital, but went into cardiac arrest and died.

Dingo eating baby PING
Don’t they watch Sienfeld in Australia?
Poor girl. It is difficult to find words strong enough to express my contempt for the parents.
Impossible. Everybody knows that only pit bulls attack humans.
There is more to this story. I have had two pet dingos. This behavior is definitely not in the norm for my dogs. They were very protective of my kids, not letting anybody or anything to harm them.
Both dingos have died now, but I rank them high among all the dogs I have owned.
Ditto here. We own a small cocker spaniel that has the sweetest temperament I've ever seen, but we'd never leave her with my granddaughter unattended. WTH were these parents thinking?
“Dingo, it’s Australian for Pit Bull.”
(actually very sad for baby and parents)
in another sense, it is reasonable that such should be prevented from procreating more idiot offspring.
mother nature, always there to fill a void. even if it is with a child in a dingos belly.
I thought the dingo was a wild dog, only recently being used as pets as they are still found in the wild...just wondering
I had a Australian cattle dog (has dingo in its bloodlines) and had a T-shirt made that said “I’m the dingo that ate your baby” Some people got mad but most laughed, it was great!
