His latest endeavour is a slight departure from his usual macho pursuits.
The Russian Prime Minister is undertaking a 1,300-mile road trip across Russia's far east in a humble Lada.
His journey is designed to showcase the completion of the country's first ever continuous east to west road.

Dressed in a casual polo shirt and wearing sunglasses, Mr Putin said he was keen to test the new road which he hailed as a "historic" moment in Russia's history. "Our country, the largest in the world, has never in its history never been completely joined up by highways. Finally we have done it," he said.
Mr Putin repeatedly praised the quality of the Lada car he was driving, giving valuable free publicity to the car's struggling Russian manufacturer Avtovaz. No way around it, Putin makes Obama look like a sissy. He is probably further to the right as well.
When I got out of the Army in May of 1961, I bought a 1955 Ford with 40,000 miles on it for $183.
It was in Detroit where I had stopped to visit on the way home.
I drove it for another 140,000 miles.
I wish I had kept it.

I would really love a Ford coupe from 36-42 or so if I could afford it.
He’s like Jim Dandy to the rescue. He can do anything and everything.
Russian roads do not appear to have improved much since the German advance on Moscow in 1941. At least the Germans had a lot of halftracks.
Russia couldn’t have the real Chuck Norris so they got Putin.
I’d swap em straight up.
Vlad for Baraq

Wow.
Love the shoes in the last pic.
While I was in High School, I bought a 35 Ford Sedan with 20,000 miles on it for $20.
I wish I had kept that also.
I have a cousin that might have anything he or his parents ever bought in their lives. My brother and I used to laugh at them. I’ll bet he could retire on that stuff now so we’re not laughing anymore. :-)
***I dont think Bush actually landed the plane on the carrier. He was a passenger.***
You Sir, are correct. But you have to see this hilarious report and CHRISSY MATHEWS’ comments. He was getting all tingly in the leg about President Bush in his flight suit!!!
