Pretty dark days for the Brits.... They must have been worried.
THANKS a MILLION, Homer! I don’t post that much on here... but, I read (at least the headlines) every day. I really feel it’s given me a better appreciation of how this all progressed. I really had NO IDEA that the war was raging for this long, at this level before Pearl Harbor.
I mean... you read the dates, you know it was a while... but, when you read the headlines every day, for such a long time... it’s a different perspective.
I find it intriguing to try to get an idea of how Americans were reacting to this incredible news of the war coming to them every day. I suspect that one builds up a tolerance after a while and it takes more and more to keep your attention.
yes... it is VERY interesting to see how life in America seemed to be just plodding along...

Sadly, I think we’re in the middle of such times again. And, things are about to get much worse.
If all the tea-leaf readings are true, then the American electorate is about to deliver a powerful message to Washington:
"We like racial tolerance, that's why we elected Obama president.
But you Dems can take your stinkin' socialism and shove it where the sun don't shine -- now get out of town!"
