The Washington Nationals baseball game Sunday afternoon was briefly interrupted during the bottom of the fifth inning when four people ran onto the field to protest Arizonas immigration law.
The reason there were protesters: the Nationals were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On the field, two protesters tried to unfurl some sort of protest sign but they couldnt quite straighten it out before one of them was pancaked by a security guard, who received a standing ovation from the fans on the first-base line.
All four were escorted off the field and their fates couldnt immediately be learned.

I'm betting on a very stern warning.
“Pancaked”? I love it!
Where’s the video?
Don’t the idiots know they won?
Also, at some point a buzz went through the stands that Obama was at the game, in the second tier on the third base side. I was sitting on the lower level on that side but I couldn't see him. Interesting that there was no formal announcement of his presence over the public address system. Were they concerned that BO might not receive a positive reception?
these people in support of this law need to be deported as well
Pic taken at 6-18-2010 Nationals game vs. White Sox visitors. Notice how his lordship disdains to participate in The Wave, while Malia joins in the fun.
I support SB1070 and even sent a donation to Governor Brewer’s defense fund. I don’t see why I or other supporters, including the AZ legislators who enacted the law, should be deported. LOL!!! Are you nuts? For one thing, we are all citizens. However, a federal judge has blocked the law. So your side, in favor of illegals not being questioned re their status, won... for the time being.
oops typo. i meant to say that those who support illegal immigrants should be deported. i just reread my post, i am for one in support of SB1070, my bad
Hopefully they were sent over to D.C. Jail with Leroy ,Tyrone and DuWayne to cool their heels.
If so they won’t forget that trip for a while LMAO.
I had all the tickets and became separated from the group I was with in the crowd outside the gate. I backed out of the crowd to attempt to re-establish contact via cell phone. As the phone began to ring, suddenly someone to my back started chanting something over a bullhorn. I turned to see a group of illegal immigration protestors walking a circle carrying signs. I think they are determined to have next year's All Star game taken from Arizona Diamondbacks.
*wink*
Yeah, they won the first round due to their comrades in the 9th Circus Court. Not being the forgiving and forgetting types, they will continue their demand to move next year’s All Stars game from Phoenix, where it is scheduled to be played.

“Well have video of the protest here as soon as todays game concludes, pursuant to our agreement with MLB.”
“Running onto the field at Nats Park is, according to a team official, considered to be unlawful entry, a misdemeanor according to DC Code §22-3302, which is subject to a $1,000 fine and/or up to 180 days in jail.”

Apparently, the punishment varies from city to city, park to park?
Here is vid of D-backs’ LaRoche mashing a homer off Strasburg today: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?tcid=mm_mlb_vid
Maybe the other 30,000 stayed away to protest the Arizona law.
Heck, the DNC or SEIU will pay those $4,000 fines without blinking.
