It’s light and effective.

Avoid Norton at all costs.

Norton is good, but it slowed down my computer. I’ve had no problem with McAfee.

I’ve been using it all my computers for over a year now. It’s efficient, very light footprint and it’s free. Used AVG before that but it started getting bloated, going the Norton route. MSSE is all you need.

Am behind a router. MSE works well on the two computers on which I have it installed. Seems effective. Occasionally scan those computers with Malwarebytes anti-malware, and have not found any infections.

Using it with Vista , spybot, ccleaner, spyware blaster an the free super anti spyware AV .....

No conflicts with MSE at all...

I like it.

Not good to run multiple Anti Virus software, can cause conflicts and will more than likely slow down your computer, and may not protect.

I use MSE, replaced AVG after it got bloated. I’m satisfied although some malware (the fake virus trojans)does get through it.

I have it on 5 computers. Works well and is light on the resources.

So far MSE is working well and as others have said, it has a small footprint and uses minimum resources (according to CS Fire monitor). I have an XP that has had no problems in the nine months of using MSE. I had to uninstall AVG (which I had used for years) because of bloat.

MSE is pretty good, as others have said, it is light and effective. I now use it on more and more installs, leaving AVG and Avast behind (too bloated now). I also replace Norton, mcafee, and kapersky with MSE.

Just recently removed Norton 360 off a client’s PC, got MSE installed and up to date, and boom, realtime MSE scanner caught an active virus and removed it (with a reboot)

Happy with it so far! I use malwarebytes, superantispyware, and hitman pro 3.5 free trial when trouble comes along, haven’t had a problem with MSE so far!

A little off topic but I had a VERY nasty virus yesterday called “Wireshark”. It took me nearly all day to get rid of the stinking thing. I ended up using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware because MSE didn’t catch the offending items. Ran the program once and it disappeared like magic (hopefully). I was getting really paranoid that every search I did to find answers was linked to another virus program.

Just had it installed.
Three things:
1. It was free.
2. Better than AVG.
3. Virus free for 24 hours, I guess.

We ran it in a VM test lab at work, and wasn’t terribly impressed with it, especially given the cost.

Kaspersky, FTW!

Installed WSE. It immediately sent RegCure.exe to the recycle bin leaving all the other files in the folder intact.
Searched the web for replacement.Found a list of registry cleaners .
Guess what ?? RegCure was at the top of the list with a 9.1 rating out of 10.
Uninstalled WSE and recovered RegCure.exe from the recycle bin.
