Following the footsteps of Irvine-based In-N-Out Burger, Del Taco plans to expand its Southern California brand to Texas.

Uh....actually......I think 7/11 is headquartered near Dallas......Southland Corp. and they....(7/11) are all over the place here......everywhere......uh....where have you been?
I will never forget as a Texan, being taken for the first time to a Taco Bell in Laguna Beach, California in the 1960s.
I sincerely did not know what to make of it, it made no sense to me whatever, I couldn’t even figure out how it fit into the food world at any level.
Excellent Point Strict.
We are driving to Norman Oklahoma next week....about a 2.5 hour drive from where we live in Northeast Texas......why? Because it’s the closest Marie Callendars!.....Everyone is looking forward to it.....should be a nice day....and they got that Frisco Burger and great pies.....besides.....never been to Oklahoma either....
If you haven’t tried tacos made with acne
then don’t knock them........
My father was 79 when my brother and I took him to
see the WWII memorial a few months after it was opened
in DC. We stayed in Falls Church, Va and found a Chili’s
restaurant to dine at. Now, anybody in the West knows
that Chili’s is a chain that offers Mexican fare so
I was counting on ordering an enchilada or a couple
of tacos and a a chile releno (apologies for Spanish
spelling). To my surprise the only Mexican item on the
menu was a crab casadilla. Anyway, you must make some
killer tacos because I have had some damn good ones
at some different restaurants.
Yeah, I remember Del Taco being here years ago.
The only good thing that could happen to Texas is for those California socialist swine to move back from where they came from and take their shitte food with them!
They will find a very crowded market plus a lot of people just make them at home.
Not a real crowded market for CA cuisine including fast food. Lots of Californians looking for CA cuisine and fast food....spells opportunity.....In N Out and Del Taco.....smart...
By the way......I believe the Texas Deficit is now around $18 billion....more than N.Y. and close to CA right?
So isn’t it already a mess here?
I’m sure there are many fine and tasty taco restaurants all across the country. It’s not the taste that I have a problem with, it’s the hygiene of the preparers. A study of restaurants by a university (Duke?) found that of all types of restaurants, “Mexican style chains”, i.e. Taco Bell and others, were the most likely to make you ill. A Mexican restaurant that cooks the meal, i.e. enchilladas etc, is fine with me. Tacos are a no-no because of the raw contents. Burritos, Casedillas, anything cooked is okay.............
An...u know... probably shudnt either. But sooo glad ur so 'turned on' about del Taco.
I’ll take a Mom&Pop restaurant of any type over a chain type every time........especially BBQ!..............
I love BBQ....unfortunately, here in north Idaho, it is very hard to find except in a chain. Usually do my own at home......
The best Mexican restaurant I have eaten in was in..........MEXICO!.............
Yeah....isn’t sad when Del Taco is about the best fast food in Texas.
And why shouldn’t I create “an about” page.....uh u gonna come beat me up or something?....
Sounds like a business OPPORTUNITY to me!.................
To all Texans on this thread: you have my sympathy.
