CONCORD, N.H. A Democratic candidate for the New Hampshire House has apologized for posting a death wish for Sarah Palin on Facebook.
Keith Halloran of Rindge made the comment in response to a Republican lawmakers post Tuesday about the plane crash that killed former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens. When the lawmaker expressed disappointment that some news accounts of Stevens death focused on negative aspects of his career, Halloran responded: "Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board," an apparent reference to Palin and her daughters ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnston.
After the leaders of both political parties denounced his comment, Halloran posted an apology on his Facebook page, saying he wishes the best for Palin, Johnston and their families.
Good lesson for everyone. I've re-written many a post when, thank goodness, it occurred to me before hitting "send" that it will be read by people who don't know me and don't know how I meant it. Something that sounds jocular spoken can sound pretty cold in print.
And in the political world people often forget that the people they are talking about are not mere symbols, but they are also people. Which means certain kinds of attacks are legitimate and some are beyond the pale. When you are sharing a beer with friends talking politics the line can get blurred but when you are putting it in print for the entire world to see forevermore, you need to give a little more thought to what you say.
No self-respecting cat would sacrifice even ONE of their nine lives to spend an evening with this vile Chris Matthews wannabe...
Re: property taxes. Send him a copy of California’s Prop 103
That’ll stop runaway property taxes
Rush just mentioned this story. Hope it grows legs now.
Establishment politicians have become so arrogant they can’t fathom the depth of frustration the average American feels.

Its good that people like this reveal who they really are.
What Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston have in common is that they are both members of the country class that have achieved name recognition. Country class people are supposed to quietly sit back and pay their taxes, stay in the red states, and not embarrass the ruling class by making it known that they exist. This is a class hatred, the kind of hatred that is one step away from gas chambers and mass euthanasia.
Class and group hatred is generally reserved for a minority group. This hatred is directed by a powerful minority against the majority. It can only prevail if the majority remain asleep. Thankfully, there are idiots like this guy to tell us who they are.
This is gross misreporting by the Boston Herald.
There was NOT an apology, only a "best wishes".
DNC and Obama misfit Keith Halloran:
For those of my neighbors who know me and know my true nature,
I wish to offer an apology for my post on my Republican friends DJ Bettencourts Facebook page,
and want to reassure everyone that I wish the best for Sarah,
Levi and their family
Exactly. They’ve been doing this for years, death wishes and dancing on the graves of the recently deceased. There is no way that he’s truly repentant for what he said.
Its like Greg Gutfeld said last night on Hannity, he likes Sarah Palin because she brings out all the idiots from their rocks, shows them exactly for what they are
That old song by Led Zep sure brings back memories.
Meanwhile a NH Dem legislator with a name similar to Halloran (Horrigan) has resigned after an anti-Palin remark:

CONGRESS.SYS Corrupted: Re-boot, Abort November 2010? YES NO
CONGRESS.SYS Version 11.2010 available soon.
Excellent observations. It is odd that the death wish would be directed at Sarah and Levi, specifically. Most of Sarah Palin’s supporters wish Levi Johnston had never met Bristol Palin! (He’d never have made it past “Howdy,” with my daughter, Seaman Anoreth!)
I think you’re correct that the man is reacting to “country people” getting attention in the national sphere. Imagine how he’d have felt about Andrew Jackson, or Abraham Lincoln! They make the Palins look like aristocracy!
We haven’t crossed paths, that I’ve noticed, in the past 10 months or so, so a belated Welcome to FR!
