Authorities have found the remains of a missing pregnant teenager at a landfill in Corona, authorities said Thursday.

Investigators began looking for the remains of 17-year-old Anyssia Katherine Escamilla in May after her boyfriend admitted that he killed her and dumped her body in the trash.

The remains were found Wednesday afternoon, said Sgt. Billy Green, a spokesman for the Fontana Police Department.

Crews spent 70 days searching landfills in Rialto and Corona for Escamilla's remains. . .

Avitia has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and is being held on $2-million bail.

Anyssia, of Bloomington, was about three months pregnant with Avitia's child, according to police. She also had a 3-year-old son from a previous relationship.

A 17-year-old with a 3-year-old son? Not good.

Prosecutors say 18-year-old Jesus Avitia Jr. told police he killed Anyssia and dumped her body.

Scum. Impregnate then kill. Time to bring back Ol' Sparky.

“....Time to bring back Ol’ Sparky.”

I presume he is of Mexico, therefore no death penalty, because Mexico says we can’t.

Time to bring back”Old Sparky”.

Naw. Old Sparky would be too humane. May I suggest the perp be tied to a radome so that his seed boils inside his sac with every 360 degree scan of the dish. (Afterall my maternal family same is FRANKENSTEIN)

Wait.. So he admitted to the murder, gave the location of the body (approximately), and is now pleading not guilty? What?

And 13 is way too young to be having sex.. There’s no way that child would have been raised properly.

And why would Mexico have any say in death penalty? Or did the story somehow forget to mention that he’s an illegal alien?

Where did he admit to murder? The version of the story posted above does't.

I see an admission...well...a reported admission. The not guilty plea may be mandatory for a capital case.

Exactly.

No admission of murder whatsoever.

From the article sounds like the murderer is in jail with $2 million bail. As long as he remains in jail in the US, I would think this can be tried as a capital case, not that California actually USES the death penalty before their lifers die of old age. If he is able to make bail and then flees to Mexico, they refuse to extradite in cases where the death penalty could be applied. American prosecutors have to promise to take it off the table.

Don't be silly. The story is from the LA Slimes. According to them, there is no such thing as an illegal alien.

That you’re comprehension of the written word is sorely lacking? Simply refuting posts 13 and 14, as was chae in post 12.
