I love living in the United States and love political debates!
We had an important senate election here and I proudly chose Scott Brown for senate because Martha Coakley was totally clueless and incompetent.
I looked at both candidates for president carefully. John McCain is a true military hero and even worked across the aisle on McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman and McCain-Kennedy. Thry were three very good bills. However, McCain is anti-choice, anti-gay and too pro-gun.
Barack Obama was short on experience, but I liked his postions on many issues except for the middle east and he's not agressive enough on the war on terror.
I chose President Obama at the end and while he's far from perfect, I'm pleased with my choice.
I love politics and can't wait to get into it! :-) I'm new so be nice while I get used to this site!

It does when the vast majority of Americans are against the stimulus yet congress passed it anyway. That's forcibly taking money away from those who don't want to give it up.

Lizzie, I have a request for you. Please get a copy of the U.S. Constitution and read the 9th and 10th Amendments several times. Out loud at least once.
Don’t just skim over it, really focus on what they say. They aren’t long, so it shouldn’t take much time.
After you read the 9th and 10th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, ask the following question:
How does the Federal Government have the right to pass any law concerning healthcare?
Specifically, how much stimulus money went to keep union slugs employed on the T?

Yes Lizzie, the bill was passed into law. Fair and square? What are you, 6? There was absolutely nothing fair nor square about the entire deal!
