It might be 'lil ol you'......I've been using Tiny Pic all day - and haven't had a problem (until they post their 'code' words upside down.......)

They use Non-words all the time (unless it is a foreign language!) It is NOT an easy task!

Today, I had tiny-pic'd two graphics, copied, and was ready to post them, and then realized I hadn't shrunk them, and they were over 100,000, and had start over.

But, it's the only safe place I know of, to 'save' graphics, for posting.

Common Language

During the high schoolers’ spring ministry trip to Jamaica, they visited a home for troubled teens who had run afoul of the law or whose families could not handle them.

This was not a comfortable situation for the kids from either culture. What would they say? How would they connect?

It didn’t take long to find out. Minutes after they arrived, a soccer match began as a number of the US students engaged some of the Jamaican teens in spirited competition.

The soccer match was a great icebreaker as the kids kicked the ball around and got to know each other. After the game, conversation was easier and friendships were established more quickly because of a common interest.

In Acts 17, the apostle Paul demonstrated how to break through barriers and establish dialogue. He talked with the Athenians about something of common interest—worship. In a similar way, we can use sports talk with a co-worker or lawn conversation with a neighbor. The possibilities are endless.

To reach out to people who need to hear about God’s love, look for common language—and watch the barriers fall.

The Spirit of God can reach my neighbor,
Providing the gift of salvation,
If I am ready to open the way
By starting a good conversation. —Hess

A Summer Day

The waves slapped the shoreline,
splashing on rocks,
washing the children
who played on the docks.
And the roses sent a fragrance into the air,
so, fresh and fulfilling
that none could compare.
The still and the quiet of this warm afternoon,
belonged to contentment, ended too soon!

The Soldier’s Code

1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

Sorry that I missed your 7th FR anniversary yesterday.
Hope it was a great one.

Also a Happy (sorta) Anniversary to Al_possum39. I see his 10th anniversary will be on February 3rd.

We Welcome both of you to FR. We are glad to have you as part of our FR Family.

I went to the archives and re-read some of the posts by Al_possum in 2004 and 2005.
Except for the chemo, it was a fun trip down memory lane.
