I had to watch last week’s episode on rerun. No cable in the tent last Friday night.
It was 95 degrees at bed time. There was not much sleeping either.
I don’t know the show Eureka, but the other show you mentioned is deservedly only good for 80’s trivia night.
Looks like the guy who kept on saying, My life for you.
OMG, you are missing a treat! It is on SyFy and is about a town that has super-duper geniuses who are pushing the edge of science -- basically light years ahead of what we are using now but what could be used any day. The main character is an average Joe who is more clever than the rest of the town is are smart and spends every episode saving the town from the latest invention which will destroy the world/solar system/universe/etc.
It is funny (extremely at times), yet serious (extremely at times) -- one of the best shows ever.
And the main characters are all extremely good looking ;)
Icebergs are cool. I became a Bluenose back in 1992.
They claim to have saved hundreds of whales despite almost zero contact with the fleet for most of the season.
I haven’t seen anything effective from them the last two seasons IMO.
Matt Frewer was in The Stand. He also did a ton of voice stuff for Disney including being in Aladdin and Hercules.
White House math. “Whales created or saved.”
>>I just checked on Amazon and Max Headroom is coming out on DVD on August 10th. Woohoo!<<
GOTTA get it.
20 minutes until the Ponytailed Gang that Couldn’t Shoot Straight.
I suspect their “Revenge” will backfire like everything else they do.
Paul Watson ain’t no Khan Noonien Singh.
>>White House math. Whales created or saved.<<
Another OMG moment — I am LOL here!
I think they are well meaning idiots.
Strike that, make that well meaning ineffective idiots.
Didn't they claim the captain got shot and saved by a badge under the vest like some old western movie last year?
I can't imagine how bad they all smell. I think that is the real reason behind the Japanese water canons? SHOWER...
"Okay, by a show of hands, who wants to go board a whale ship full of Japanese sailors and try to arrest their captain? Okay, Dave, Mike, Susie, Ed, Nigel, Ian, Roger, Tom, Ellen, Teresa, Cara, Tiffany... Anyone else? [Looking in Bethune's general direction]
And then the guy has the gall to come out and say that five months in a Japanese slammer is worth it if it saves a couple of whales.
Next time put your own fat ass on the line, Watson, instead of taking advantage of a guy who at least has some bushido about him.
I am on the side of the Whales, but I have met several of the crew on the Sea Shepherd and I can tell you, they are all arrogant jerks.
I would like to be placed on your ping list.... in hopes of being in on the happy talk after these drooling fools are finally sunk.
To be fair, Bethune was all for trying to board the Japanese ship and Watson was not on the same ship where this was being planned. However, you are correct about him being a manipulator and showman. He has raised millions of dollars and gotten international acclaim. He talked Discovery into this show. But he is by no means a commander. He repeatedly shows that he is completely unable to make decisions when the heat is on.
Yes, exactly - once it was suggested by that Hammarstadt character and all the other hippies started acting like it was a good idea. I think it was a setup that took Bethune's irrational propensity for fearlessness into account and appealed to his masculinity and his pride, what with it being his boat that was sunk.
It was a convenient way to get rid of him. Can't have anyone showing up "Admiral" Watson, y'know... :)
Please add me to the list!
You’ve been added. Welcome aboard. I like whales, but I’m not against whaling. I look at whales as a natural resource that should be managed wisely much like deer, trees and oil.
Hippies, however, are not a natural resource. They are like black mold. They devalue anything they touch. Except black mold isn’t stupid enough to get itself killed.
Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle o Rum!
Argh! please add me to the list!

Welcome aboard!
