I am an Anglo-Irishman who has the good fortune to be married to a girl from Minnesota. We return to our home in France mystified by the aberration in your legal system that already has taken 30 lives in Minneapolis this year alone. Mystified by the lack of gun control, and aware that guns are out there in people's houses, cars, handbags and pockets. In most cases they are legally held and ready to carry out their purpose: to kill or to maim.

My sister has friends from England that live on their block in Seattle.
They are terrified that one of their neighbors has a gun. So much so they have called the police on one ocasion (right after they found out the guy had a hunting rifle).
My neighbors sleep well at night after watching me spread my gun rug on my tailgate and clean all of my favorites after a trip to the local range.....
The UK gave in a long time ago.
I fear for my country, especially under the current administration.
