Never heard of virus’ taking control of printer-drivers. I would highly suspect the teenager (or a sibling trying to get them in trouble!)

My computer has a virus that won’t put the lid on the toliet seat down. It also leaves the top off the mayonnaise jar and throws dirty dishes into the sink without rinsing them off. I’ve told my wife that this is a very pernicious virus and I’m not having much luck getting rid of it.

As a mother to teenagers...of course the computer is going to act funny (as the anti-malicious software is trying to keep the nasty stuff out) after visiting the sites that produce those pictures.

If its just a naked lady or something like that who cares. What I told my boys was don't go to that stuff. Not because its wrong to want to see it but mainly because it doesn't take but one wrong click and virus or even worse, freaky nasty hardcore stuff.
Boys with a computer will do 3 things. Play games, Find Cheats for games and porn.
On the third - I told my boys that I can see anything they do on the computer and that if they clicked those sites they would likely see gay porn and nasty cap that would make them puke. (not far from the truth) They don't know better and were scared I was right. They have browsed some sites and seen some naked ladies but have stayed away from the hardcore crap. So I equate it to looking at playboy. At 16 and 14 so far so good and I knew they were not gay at 12.
On a side note my oldest hates to read. I offered to subscribe to playboy if he would also read the damn articles. He refused. He really doesn't like to read.

People can be getting access to your computer through the net if they got through your defenses.
If it were a virus replicating over and over, lord knows what caca could happen before you get to the point of having to format the whole computer.
I run no virus protection software but do have virus detection stuff I run every so often.
For the most part no problem unless someone uses my computer to click ads and so forth.
