Rare 3D film shows Warsaw devastated after WWII

Polish historians have created an unusual 3D film that documents the shocking sea of rubble that Warsaw was reduced to during World War II.

Jan Oldakowski, the director of the Warsaw Uprising Museum, says it is mainly meant for young people who do not realize the degree to which Poland's capital was destroyed from 1939-45.

Did you come for the BAttle of Funwald re-enactment? It was beastly hot this year, but it seems like it was pretty hot in 1410 and that’s one of the reasons the Teutonic knights failed (they boiled in their armour, while the Poles and Litwa were lightly armoured)

I haven’t been able to find any way to see the full film online. Does anyone know if it will be available at some point?

I guess I should be irritated at this comment since it seems rather stereotypical... but I just can’t disagree. I’m half Polish and the Polish side (including myself actually) are notorious at holding grudges. I only saw my grandfather a few times over 25 years, because my mom made a mild comment he didn’t like. My father’s brother... same deal.

No idea.
The copyright belong to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
And they say nothing about any plans to make the full movie available on-line or on TV.
So far.

Not this year unfortunately, I've been there a year ago. It was hot as hell also :)

However, as every year I'm going for a Battle of Komarów reenactment. Have you ever seen it?

I remember you had posted the video for the “Animated History of Poland” shown at the Shanghai Expo 2010, a few months back, the original link was taken down, but it is back now.

The first time I saw this, it put a lump in my throat. I think anyone proud of their Polish heritage would feel the same.
