[history]
PROVO The former BYU student accused of attacking a woman with a stun gun pleaded guilty Tuesday to a lessened degree of aggravated assault.
Stetson Geo Hallam, 20, had been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, following an April 6 incident that he claimed was an April Fool's joke, according to a police affidavit filed in 4th District Court.
Charges say Hallam, the victim's home teacher in their LDS Church ward, pressured the 19-year-old woman to meet him so he could "give her a gift."
The woman told police Hallam waited outside her Provo apartment for her to return, then asked her to go to a basement laundry room as part of a scavenger hunt.
Once in the room, Hallam attacked her with a Taser-like weapon, pinned her to the ground and tried to handcuff her, the affidavit states. Despite the electric shock, the woman began screaming and fighting back, and at one point bit Hallam's finger, according to court documents. She later told police she thought Hallam was trying to rape her.
After being bitten, Hallam released the woman, apologized, and said it was just an April Fool's joke, the affidavit states. Police found burn marks on the woman's arm from the weapon and a bite mark on Hallam's hand.
Hallam pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and obstruction of justice, second-degree felonies. He is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 9 and faces up to 15 years in prison.

Sorry I had to Cut and Paste this.
Victims of rape or sexual abuse frequently experience serious trauma and unnecessary feelings of guilt. Church officers should handle such cases with sensitivity and concern, reassuring such victims that they, as victims of the evil acts of others, are not guilty of sin, helping them to overcome feelings of guilt and to regain their self-esteem and their confidence in personal relationships.”
Of course, a mature person who willingly consents to sexual relations must share responsibility for the act, even though the other participant was the aggressor. Persons who consciously invite sexual advances also have a share of responsibility for the behavior that follows. But persons who are truly forced into sexual relations are victims and are not guilty of any sexual sin.”

They (Mormon-Haters, Inc.) claim that we engage in personal attacks when that is the mission statement of their cult. 134 posted on Thursday, July 29, 2010 1:41:16 PM by panaxanax

That is a good one.
I find it telling that so many posts have been pulled from this tread, yet the ones that have accused LDS opponents as being unstable, potential murders, liars, terrorist as well as other accusations are still posted.
The “content watchers” say to stay on topic, it seems to me that these posts are very off topic. Just an observation.

All your post proves is you cant read. None of those posts even mention your religion, because no one knows what your religion is. We know who you dont like, but we dont know what you actually believe. So much easier to tear someone else’s beliefs down than for you to build your own up. Must be a sad life.

We know who you dont like, but we dont know what you actually believe. Why would a nice fellow like yourself even WANT to know?
Got some BAD things to say about MY religion like Joseph Smith and HIS cohorts did?

You do know that most of the Mormon threads are started by anti Mormons, right? Using MORMON material!
That's what's so GREAT about them - watching MORMON folks either...
1. Crying about being out of context...
2. Whining about how they have NEVER taught any crazy stuff like that...
3. Pouting that they no LONGER teach stuff like that...
4. Sniffling that ANTI's (Flying Inmen to the un-initiated) are HATERs and BIGOTs for even DARING to post things from Official MORMON Sources...

That's like saying Jewish threads are started by Muslims using "Jewish" material.
You need professional help to get over your Mormon obsession.

Ok, lets say your comparison was correct.
If muslims posted a Jewish thread using material from the official Jewish web site just how does that make the material posted incorrect?
