[history]
PROVO The former BYU student accused of attacking a woman with a stun gun pleaded guilty Tuesday to a lessened degree of aggravated assault.
Stetson Geo Hallam, 20, had been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, following an April 6 incident that he claimed was an April Fool's joke, according to a police affidavit filed in 4th District Court.
Charges say Hallam, the victim's home teacher in their LDS Church ward, pressured the 19-year-old woman to meet him so he could "give her a gift."
The woman told police Hallam waited outside her Provo apartment for her to return, then asked her to go to a basement laundry room as part of a scavenger hunt.
Once in the room, Hallam attacked her with a Taser-like weapon, pinned her to the ground and tried to handcuff her, the affidavit states. Despite the electric shock, the woman began screaming and fighting back, and at one point bit Hallam's finger, according to court documents. She later told police she thought Hallam was trying to rape her.
After being bitten, Hallam released the woman, apologized, and said it was just an April Fool's joke, the affidavit states. Police found burn marks on the woman's arm from the weapon and a bite mark on Hallam's hand.
Hallam pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and obstruction of justice, second-degree felonies. He is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 9 and faces up to 15 years in prison.

Jews ignore the guys who piggybacked on their religion with all the falsehoods of Christianity and who only pray that someday the lost will find their way back to the True Faith...Now THIS would be a good tagline!

The act of this small group has already brought dis credit to this site. This is one of the ways that liberals bring discredit to web sites while appearing to be adherents of the site. By doing this they can bring division on the site. There are many places on the web that tell how to do this.

This was in the days before the Internet where the well funded LDS PR machine could offset and overwhelm negative press and the exposure of the truth.

Thank you for confirming my thoughts on why there could be such religious bigotry on the absolute best Conservative site on the web. That is why I pinged Jim Robinson, not because I needed “HELP!” as one of them posted. I certainly do not need “Help!” when engaging in verbal battle with this group of gossipy old hens.
Your input is spot on! They have been exposed as moles, voles and trolls and I really do believe that their main goal is to bring down and discredit what Jim Robinson has worked so hard to build. The last thing FR needs is to be labelled as a safe haven for religious bigotry.
Again, I thank you. Have a great day!

The act of this small group has already brought dis credit to this site. Yup; but MORMONs have Free Speech, too.
