By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 10:16 AM on 26th July 2010 Britain's fattest woman has died from a heart attack after her family smuggled takeaways and junk food into her hospital room, it has been revealed. Junk food addict Sharon Mevsimler, 40, weighed 45 stone and needed an oxygen mask due to the strain her weight put on her heart and lungs. But witnesses at Broomfield Hospital - where she had been a patient for two months - said relatives brought in fish and chips and family-sized buckets of fried chicken to the mother-of-four.

Reminds me of a friend who claimed that he weighed sixteen stones, a couple of rocks and a few pebbles.
Money in our society was never distributed, it was either earned or given away. “redistributed” is a misnomer.
They want to take a system wherein money goes to where people earn it by convincing the money spending public to part with it, and go to a system wherein the government (i.e. a bunch of liberal statist busybodies) decides how much you get for any action or activity.
Depending on the scotch, I could appreciate that.
“But what can they do? Just let her die?”
Yes, it was clearly her choice that she wanted to die.
I just do NOT understand fat people.
It is simple, so so simple. Calories IN vs Calories OUT.
STOP EATING.
FAST!
Drink lots of mineral water and eat a few fruits and vegetables and you WILL lose weight.
There is no medical condition, no excuse, nothing that prevents this very very simple cause and effect.
Just STOP EATING.
Shhheeeesh!!!
No, but substituting a big plate of veggies for your thrice-daily Bucket O' Lard is a good start.
EMTs always have the best disgusto-rama stories. I’ve known a few of them over the years.
I got a 400+ sister who for every 2lbs she loses, she gains 10 more from closet eating.
Food addiction is a killer and I do not expect her to survive past 45 years of age.
Professionally, they can’t refuse to help her. We need better treatment management for such cases.
Of course you’re right, and of course the whole idea of stealing from productive people to fund corruption and sloth is outrageous.
I was just trying to come up with how “they” came up with the word “re-distribute”. But as you point out, based on the meanings of the words, “their” explanation doesn’t hold water.
Anyway, great tagline.
yeah, we’re special like that. ;^)
Brutal... Hilarious but brutal...
the morbidly obese do not process a calorie like you do.....they have trashed their bodies with diabetes and a calorie is not a calorie...once the glucose goes up for the day it stays up no matter how little they eat after that....one soda is all it takes. food choices really do matter.
Distributed in this sense isn’t a past-tense transitive verb with “wealth” being the object of the verb. It is used as an adjective describing the current arrangement or division of wealth. You can say “They distributed the widgets, leading to how they are now distributed.” Think in terms of statistical distribution.
So to change how wealth is currently distributed, it must be re-distributed.
Seriously, how is this not criminal? Did the doctors not tell these people, in effect, “Sharon is a fat beast. If she stays a fat beast, or keeps getting bigger, she will die, sooner rather than later. If you keep bringing in family-size orders from the chippie and Kentucky Fried, you are helping to kill her”?
Must be nice to be perfect.
Interesting point. The initial distribution is the natural flow of money through the marketplace. The redistribution is the corrected flow.
Of course, the whole concept of “corrected flow” is absolutely destructive of freedom and prosperity... but that is probably where the term comes from.
It’s nice to have some semblance of self control.
She chose ............POORLY !
