Hey. Maybe you’ll be flown to DC to cook some up for the birthday party on 8/4 or whenever. Get paid $10s of thousands, too. There’s your grubstake for a grasshopper biofuel. Then again, maybe the Enviro-whackos will declare them endangered species.....
I bet they taste like chicken, too. ;>
I would but this is NY and I would probably break some contra ban law!
Used to live in Sac....I never could see why "they" didn't spell it Slewhouse. Should would have been easier on a newcomer like I was. :)
Urp! All gone... Call Zman and tell him we are on empty... Pronto!
I-O
Being used to feed the coons that come by my place every night.
My sister sent me this and it is scrumptious. I add salt and white pepper.

2. Put shallots, garlic and HALF the corn in a saucepan over low heat for two minutes to soften.
3. Add the heavy cream and sloooowly simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Put in a blender and puree till smooth.
5. Put pureed corn into a sauce pot and add the remaining raw corn.
6. Cook sloooowly together for 30 minutes.
7. Add minced garlic chives and serve
Boatloads of it here in Central Ohio.
All kidding aside, my source's corn crop seems to be ahead of schedule but I can't verify that until I talk with him. But for what it's worth, we've had a lot of rain and a lot of hot weather here in S.E. Michigan so that may have had something to do with his corn now being ready for harvest. But then again, maybe it's just the normal time for picking........What do I know, I'm not a farmer! LOL!
LOL!
Somebody here said I was crazy to hunt pigs with a 9mm carbine.....http://i32.tinypic.com/2zr1b49.jpg
We have a Dozen ears in my fridge right now MAJOR YUMM!
Here in east Tennessee, we have been getting wonderful Silver Queen corn for a few weeks now, plus just began getting some really good Peaches and Cream corn. Add in the peaches, watermelon, canteloupe, blackberries, yellow squash, okra, bell peppers, and Grainger County tomatoes, and you’ve died and gone to heaven!
Whoeee! Now we really need some corn and tators too!
That dog in the pic is 75+ lbs. to give you a clue...
It wasn’t me! LOL! Looks like the dog is waiting for the BBQ sauce. Also looks like the 9 did just fine. Nice shot. ;)
For a number of years I traveled to Logan KS in the N.W. corner for pheasant hunting...........Quite an out of the way place but an excellent location to get back to normal. Folks there were really great and down to earth........
