MoogFest officially announced

AC Entertainment has officially announce the dates for MoogFest in Asheville, NC. The festival will take place Oct. 29-31, 2010.

Confirmed headlining artists include Massive Attack, MGMT, and Thievery Corporation. These will be joined by more than 25 additional artists performing in multiple venues throughout downtown Asheville, including the Asheville Civic Center Arena, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and Asheville¹s renowned world-class club, the Orange Peel.

I miss the days when a synth sounded like a synth, instead of what we’ve got now, which is, no real instruments and no one noticing the difference. :’)

Guess this means I need to dig out my Big Briar theremin, and take it & a generator to the back 40. I haven’t played that sucker in years.

They need to play “From the Beginning” by Emerson Lake and Palmer. The Moog at the end of that toon PWNS all Prog Rock moog music.
