“Bristols lack of maturity makes me question Sarahs ability to lead our nation.”

This is absolutely the stupidest thing ever posted on FR.
Two of Ronald Reagan’s kids were immature and leftist useful idiots to boot. And at the time they were both older than Bristol is now. But it didn’t seem to get in the way of his ability to lead our nation.

Now that's a good point. And the media's attempt to exploit it on him didn't work, either.
But Palin is no Reagan.
Not by a long shot. She rises to the bait each and every time.

He has pretty much just ruled out every GOP president in my lifetime - not to mention almost everyone mentioned as a future potential nominee.
-Reagan had a nutso daughter and gay liberal nut son.
-Bush I had a party animal son who was an alcoholic and has hinted at other such discretions.
-Bush II had a daughter who also was notorious for (let us politely say) “Overdoing it” at the bars.
-Nixon’s daughters have fought with each other so publicly it is pretty much the example of how to divide siblings in a family.
Let's not even get into Jeb’s daughter, Meghan McCain,..............etc............
This is perhaps the outright stupidest criticism of Sarah Palin I have ever heard, and I have heard some whoppers.
Did either of you actually read my post?
Bristol is a reflection of her parents. We are all a product of our environment. To deny this fact would be foolish. I am fully aware that good parenting can result in less than ideal behavior from kids (and vice versa), which is why I said I will wait and see how the Palins handle Bristol’s decisions.
I’ll repeat myself: For this reason I have concerns about Sarah’s ability to lead our nation, yet I will wait and see how Todd & Sarah handle this over the months and years ahead.
My concern is based on guidance found in the bible [1 Timothy 3]:
Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach... HE MUST MANAGE HIS OWN FAMILY WELL AND SEE THAT HIS CHILDREN OBEY HIM WITH PROPER RESPECT. (IF ANYONE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO MANAGE HIS OWN FAMILY, HOW CAN HE TAKE CARE OF GOD’S CHURCH?)
This passage does not just apply to men, or to overseers, or to the church. It has to do with selecting good leadership.
To call my *concern but wait & see* stance the “stupidest ever” goes against good biblical instruction and defies sound logic, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you did not actually hear what I was saying.
Not to mention Amy Carter and Jenna Bush.
