It may not be your computer, but your internet connection speed. Sounds like mine - a little better than dial-up, but worth the wait. I remember it taking me 3 days to download a version of Netscape via dial-up.

Very interesting! I love history. Thank you for posting this, navysealdad. A little digging and it led me to a photo of the earliest born person ever photographed, Hannah Stilley Gorby born in about 1746, photographed in about 1840 when she was around 92. :~)

I saw a lot of photographs of that era during Ken Burns’s “Civil War” series. Until then, I hadn’t realized so many photographs had been taken of that time. It was fascinating!
